For those of you who don’t know him, Isaiah Washington plays the black doctor (Dr. Burk) on the hit ABC series, Grey’s Anatomy. The show took home the award for “Best Drama Series.” While in the press room conducting interviews, Isaiah Washington made the comment “No, I did not call T.R. a faggot. Never happened, never happened.†Smart move, Isaiah, smart move … NOT! Anyhow, he issued a statement today. Check it out below:

Apparantly, Mr. Usher Raymond was pulled over for speeding over the summer (4th of July to be exact), and recently went to court to receive some kind of judgement. Read below…
Usher has been ordered to pay up for living life in the too-fast lane. The Grammy winner was found guilty of speeding in a Georgia court Tuesday stemming from an incident last summer in which police clocked him doing 103 mph in a 70 mph zone. The 28-year-old “Yeah!” singer and Georgia native appeared in Bartow County Probate Court to face the citation he received on July 4, when cops pulled over his 2005 Range Rover SUV on Interstate 75. Judge Mitchell Scoggins issued a $425 fine to the multmillionaire, whose full name is Usher Raymond, and sentenced him to perform 20 hours of community service. It’s unclear what form his service will take—garbage duty and hospital work have been recently favored by his fellow celeb outlaws—or how long he has to complete his task. However, Scoggins did say that Usher can perform his service closer to his home in Fulton, Georgia.
In any case, the megastar didn’t seem too broken up about his punishment.After leaving the courthouse, Usher spent 30 minutes schmoozing with fans and signing autographs, per the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The sentence caps off a bumpy few months for the singer. In late August, he took over the role of Billy Flynn in the Broadway musical Chicago but was forced to abruptly stop short his hit run in October after being diagnosed with strep throat.
He wasn’t too broken up? Hell, he was only charged $425! He probably had that much in his pocket, LOL. “Oh, only $425? Here’s $500 judge, go buy yourself a new robe.”
LL Cool J dropped by MTV’s TRL to promote his new fitness book. When I was browsing through the photos trying to find a few to post on here, I found that it was hard as hell getting a pic where he wasn’t licking his damn lips! LOL somebody buy this dude some chapstick ASAP…

Matthew Knowles has expressed outraged and blamed the Hollywood Foreign Press for his daughter, two-time Golden Globe nominee Beyonce Knowles for not walking away with a trophy. She was nominated for ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Song†category for the movie ‘Dreamgirls’ at the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
The big winners for the movie were Jennifer Hudson who went home with the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ Award and Eddie Murphy for ‘Best Supporting Actor.’ Knowles told reporters back stage at the Beverly Hills Hilton that his daughter was outcasted and overlooked by a bureaucratic good old boy system that is still alive in 2007 as it was in 1967. “Today is MLK’s birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go,†he said.

After Dreamgirls dies down, and B’Day finishes its course, please do us all a favor and give yourself a long, well-deserved rest. Give us a little time to miss you! With his debut, In My Own Words, still being promoted, Ne-Yo has been trying to sneak in time to work on his yet-untitled second LP, as he did at Sony last week. The Las Vegas artist, dressed in a black T-shirt and black stocking cap, described his songwriting process as frill-free and said the end product sounds a lot more exciting than the actual music-making. Surrounding him were a couple of friends, reps from Def Jam and his engineer. So how does the young but already masterful craftsman approach the writing process? “It just depends on the song and the track and what part of the track catches me first,” he said. “Sometimes it’s the hook, the verse, sometimes it’s the bridge. It’s whatever, as long as the song comes out a specific way and there’s melodies you hear once or twice and can sing back, lyrics you can do the same with but have depth. Today is one of the rare days that MLK Jr Day falls on Martin Luther King Jr’s actual birthday. And on behalf of Think2wice.org, I would like to wish all of our visitors a happy MLK Jr Day! Without his dream, which still has a long way to go, I don’t think this country would be even remotely close to the way it is now. If he were still alive, he would have turned 78 today. So Happy Birthday Dr. King! You were truly the greatest Civil Rights activist of all time!
Man, this James Brown thing is getting crazier and crazier as the time goes by…
The late singer has provided for six of his children, but son James Jr. and partner Tomi Rae Hynie have been overlooked, said Brown’s lawyer Strom Thurmond. Hynie’s lawyer, Thornton Morris, admitted his client had no idea she wouldn’t be listed in the will. He said: “She was locked out of the house so she doesn’t know where the will that’s being probated was found. “She has no knowledge as to when this particular will was executed.” Brown died on Christmas Day from congestive heart failure as a result of pneumonia. He was 73. Soon after his death, the gates to Brown’s home were locked until the singer’s estate was settled.
Another of Brown’s lawyers, Buddy Dallas, explained: “The house is owned by the trust and has been that way since August of 2000. “Technically, the trustees own it for the benefit of the trust. It was not in the name of James Brown and hasn’t been that way for years.” The will - which was read in Aiken, South Carolina, last Thursday - has not yet been filed in probate court.
Now, the reason I put “Papa” in quotes is because there are rumors circulating that James Brown is not James Brown Jr’s real father. I personally believe otherwise, but if Tomi Rae takes these people to court, we will soon find out the truth. If he IS James Brown’s son, that would be really messed up to not be included in your dad’s will. And if he ISN’T James Brown’s son, that would be even worse because his damn name is JAMES BROWN JR. Anyhow, all of this will teach people to get their stuff together to make sure their family is taken care of because no one on this earth knows when their time will come…
