Actor Eddie Griffin, best known for his comedic role in the film Undercover Brother, may be working for free on his next film, Redline after he destroyed a rare Ferrari that is featured in movie. During a promotional campaign for the picture at Irwindale Speedway on Monday, Eddie lost control and put the Italian thoroughbred into a concrete wall. According to TMZ, funny man Eddie Griffin was crying more than laughing yesterday when he accidentally totaled a prized Ferrari Enzo at Irwindale Speedway, which was being used as a promotional tool for his latest film, Redline. The beautiful red, ultra rare, $1.5 million Ferrari Enzo was being used in conjunction with a charity event for Race for a Cause and as promotion for the upcoming film, Redline on Monday when the crash occurred. Reports claim that Griffin was doing rehearsals for the event when he lost control of the car and ended up in the wall, leaving the sleek sports car in a twisted mess. Eddie Griffin was taken from the track in an ambulance, but didn’t sustain any injuries and was in good spirits.
BBC reports that the Ferrari Enzo actually belongs to Redline producer, Daniel Sadek, who revealed that he has mixed feelings about the crash. “I’m glad Eddie came out of the crash OK but my dream car got destroyed.” After taking stock of the events at the speedway, Sadek reveals that he tried to put things into perspective and said, ” I went to my trailer for about 15 minutes and I thought, there’s people dying every day. A lot of worse things are happening in the world.”
This time, it’s no prank—Punk’d will soon have its last laugh. MTV announced Monday that the eighth season of Ashton Kutcher’s hidden-camera show would be its final outing. To mark the celebrity-pranking series’ sendoff, the network said it would air all eight episodes from the upcoming season back-to-back in a special “sneak peek marathon” on Apr. 7. The new season will then officially premiere on Apr. 10, as part of MTV’s new Tuesday night lineup.
“We decided to make an event out of it,” MTV Entertainment president Brian Graden told the Hollywood Reporter. “We’re looking to experiment with many alternate programming and premiere models as a way for things to take hold in an age of technology.”
The show’s final episodes will feature victims including Evangeline Lilly, Magic Johnson, Hilary Swank, Jewel and Nelly Furtado, the network said. The list of celebrities targeted by the show in past seasons reads like a who’s who of young Hollywood, with everyone from Lindsay Lohan to Kanye West falling prey to Kutcher’s hoaxes at some point in Punk’d history. Rappers may not be the most kid-friendly artists in the music world, but one member of G-Unit is denying accusations that he picked on someone half his age. Emcee Tony Yayo pleaded not guilty Sunday to misdemeanor charges of harassment and endangering the welfare of a child, just one day after his arrest in New York for allegedly beating up a 14-year-old boy. While the New York Police Department has not released the boy’s identity—as is typical protocol for incidents involving minors—the alleged teenage victim is believed to be James Rosemond, the son of G-Unit rival the Game’s manager, Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond.
J Records platinum recording artist and American Idol season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino is apparantly taking a short break from Broadway and currently shooting a video for her next single, “When I See You” in New York City! The video is being directed by Lenny Bass. He’s been in the game for a while, but he is pretty unknown. In this film Terence Howard (Jim Ellis), failing to find employment, overcomes his adversities - Jim fixes up an old abandoned recreational pool hall in a Philadelphia slum with the assistance of a local janitor. But when the project is treaten by demolition Jim fights back by starting the city’s first African-American swim team, recruiting troubled teens from the streets of Philly and transforming the team of novices into capable swimmers for an upcoming state championship. In the process of this, racist, violent and unsympathetic local city officials attempt to tear the team apart - Jim must do everything in his power to convince his swimmers that victory, both in and out of the pool is within their reach. Pride is definitely worth seeing in this case, it’s a empowering movie that captivates all audiences of all races, the actors are absoluely phenomenal in their performance. Pride is in theaters now and I’m tellin you, you’ll be gald to have paid your ten bucks, it’s worth every penny!

On Friday March 23, 2007, in a failed robbery attempt, Power Hittas/Atlantic recording artist DG Yola was shot in the face while he was in his vehicle stopped at a red light. The bullet went through one cheek and out the other. DG Yola is currently recovering at an Atlanta hospital, where doctors are optimistic that he will make a full and speedy recovery.
“He is already up and about and writing. Yola ain’t gonna let up,” his family said in a statement. “We respectfully request privacy and appreciate the well wishes and prayers of Yola’s fans during this time.”
DG Yola’s debut album, “Gutta World,” is scheduled to be released this June. Please keep DG Yola in your prayers…

Now in its 13th year, Celebrity Fight Night has raised more than $38 million since its inception in 1994, with much of the money going to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg’s UK appearances with pal Sean “Diddy” Combs have been thrown into jeopardy after the star was denied a visa to enter Britain. The rapper — real name Calvin Broadus — is currently touring Europe with Combs, with the pair slated to perform five dates in the country next week. Tour bosses have admitted they are confused by the authorities decision to prevent Snoop entering the UK and hope the issue can be resolved as soon as possible. A representative for the tour says, “Snoop and his team are mystified at the decision and are hoping that the British government will reconsider this decision, especially as he has toured here before and sees the UK as being the highlight of the tour.
“He has asked how he can help rectify the situation and would happily talk to and give assurances to the officials.”A spokesperson from the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office refused to comment on the star’s visa problems, saying, “We would never comment on visa applications by individuals.”
Tuesday’s gig at Wembley Arena, London, will go ahead. I guess we’ll find out the end result once pics of the performance surfaces…
