May.31.2007 // Video Premiere: My Chemical Romance - “Teenagers”

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - “TEENAGERS” »
“Teenagers” is the fourth single and eleventh track from My Chemical Romance’s third studio album, The Black Parade, It will be the third U.S. single from the album, but it is the fourth single released in the UK, as the previous single, “I Don’t Love You”, was a UK-only release. This song will also be the band’s twelfth overall single. Ha! pretty funny video, it has a meaning to it, teenagers are cruel S.O.B.’s.. btw MCR are NOT Emo!

  • May.31.2007 // ALBUM REVIEWS: T-Pain - Epiphany & Fabolous - From Nothin’ To Somethin’

    T-Pain - Epiphany

Although T-Pain is my guilty pleasure, I can’t stand his ass sometimes, but I’m sure he ain’t even studying folks as long as he has his “Tallahassee Love.” He’s like a cockroach, no matter how much you spray- where the bottle ’bout much empty- ’til you gotta get the HOOVER for that bitch! There is no denying his talents so let me stop talkin’ greasy for he take my behind to “Church.” Anyway the album is very mellow at first, T-Pain’s voice is very bland to me for some reason, it’s also an album you can throw in the whip. On this album though, I think this is the most serious I’ve ever seen him. He talks a little about his girl having HIV/AIDS, and I’m like, “wow! That’s deep…” I don’t know if this is from real life experiences but it definitely defines epiphany I’ll say! There’re some smooth lounge-ish tracks and a couple upbeat joints on it as well. The album features the likes of Konvict Muzik label mate Akon, Shawnna, Teddy Verseti and others. Overall the album was pretty “decent” you could actually say. I can’t say anything bad about it, it’s a lot of revelations you can get from it; like the title says Epiphany… speaks for itself. Towards the end, “Reggae Night,” Best Line Ever: “Girl I cannot believe you got me comin’ out here on a Reggae Night, ’shit you need to get out tha house.’ She-it I hope ya gotcha purse, ya gotcha knife? ‘HELL YEAH! These Jamaicans crazy…’” and “Shottas” the album starts to get a little hilarious and fun then kinda jumps to mid-tempo with “Right Hand”; “Sounds Bad,” I like these tracks a lot, it’s one of those songs you relate to (I’m sure all the men). So, with that being said- June 5th, I would definitely recommend this album for a good buy. PS. Don’t judge a book by its cover :)

May.31.2007 // Teairra Marí Moves To Interscope Records!

    tm.jpg

Have you been wondering what happen to Teairra Marí? Well, not to fret, I have too! Looks like former “Princess of the Roc” is back with her new upcoming project, Second Round, slated to be released this summer with “Missing You” being a possible single. I’m so excited! I have to admit, although I was a tad bit skeptical at the peak of her debut and thought- “ah hell! Here goes another ‘One Hit Maker’ before my eyes,” I bought her CD and it was actually good to my surprise, a little too explicit for a dag 17 year old (!) but it was what it was, so I take back any informalities. On that note, I can’t wait for the new album :)

May.31.2007 // New Music From Kelly Rowland & Mya!

Yay! New music from Kelly Rowland, “Work” (Put It In), hmmm… @ the title  Anywho, the record was co-written by non other then Ms. Kelly herself and produced by Scott Storch; features Fat Joe. This was actually suppose to be the second single from Kelly Rowland’s sophomore LP, Ms. Kelly, but she decided to go with “Ghetto” featuring Snoop Dogg. Well, I think I like “Work” (Put It In) a little better, it’s a fast upbeat track, it’ll go well in the clubs and the minute I heard her sexy voice and rapid hook going with that beat- it was official- hell, I was HOOKED! :in my best Fat Joe voice: Hehehehe..

May.31.2007 // Ray-J Loses Major Film Role Due To Raunchy Sex Tape W/ Kim Kardashian

    rayj2.jpg

Looks like Brandy’s brother (yes, I purposely said that to prove my analysis) Ray-J and his little sex tape escapade is putting financial dents in his pockets costing him a major gospel film role opposite Yolanda Adams…

“I felt like I shouldn’t have had to audition because I’d worked with the casting director on a few movies,” he explained. “But I did it for him. We were going through this whole thing and I was just like, ‘I’ve got the part.’ Then they called me and asked me, ‘Yo, what’s up with the sex tape? We know about it.’ Then they called me back and said, ‘Well, Yolanda Adams is in the movie and this is gospel and we just can’t do it.” - EURweb

Ray-J was caught up in a similar situation several years ago when his video for “Wait A Minute” with rapper Lil Kim was banned because he was tossing back alcohol while underage, not to mention getting a little too sexual with Lil’ Kim.

He recalls, “I was all over Lil’ Kim and all down in her legs and all over her breasts and stuff, so they thought it was a little over the top.”

Umm… chea, ya think? Can you actually be that… :deep breath: You have to really think about certain things you do before- you actually do them! I guess we all have our seasons once in awhile but unfortunately in Ray-J’s case, another one bites the dust I guess…

    May.31.2007 // T.I.: T.I. VS T.I.P. Album Cover

    ti_vs_tip_album.jpg

Above is the official album cover for T.I.’s upcoming LP T.I. VS T.I.P. set to drop July 3rd! Hmm… it definitely makes a statement- I get, okay, I’m guessing it has to do with his alter ego/ upbringing (T.I.P.) and his business persona (T.I.). I’m feelin’ it a lot, I get a lot from this album and the joints I’ve heard so far! I think this album is going to be off rip, it’s going to be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out. Ah yes, I forgot, you can download the album sampler HERE peeps!

May.30.2007 // T-Pain Sit Yo Greasy Ass Down

T-Pain is a funny dude in interviews. In this interview with SOHH, he talks about Ray-J’s “long” meat among other things including a top 5 list of girls he would like to strip for him. Just an FYI, he casted out Oprah because she’s too “old and hairy” and he knocked Alicia out of the list because she’s too “bony and hairy.” Lol, what?? Anyhow, the top five goes like this: (1) Shawnna, (2) Lindsay Lohan, (3) Courtney Love, (4) Melyssa Ford, and (5) The “Old Britney.” No comment on his “choices” ……

May.29.2007 // Weekend Update: Lindsay Crashes, Britney Rambles, And Isaiah Still Can’t Save His Job

    WEEKEND UPDATE!

LINDSAY LOHAN IS TRYING TO KILL HERSELF

LINDSAY LOHAN IS TRYING TO KILL HERSELF » Looks like somebody had a pretty fun Memorial Day weekend! While you were eating barbecue ribs and playing cards with your relatives, Lindsay Lohan was drinking herself into oblivion. And before she did all that, she crashed her black Mercedes into a curb near the Beverly Hills Hotel and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and of possession of illegal drugs. What the flip? According to the New York Post, after her drinking escapade, Lohan had dropped her sunglasses and cigarettes on her way out of the hotel, then collapsed when she bent to pick them up. A bouncer had to lift her into the car. Lohan was photographed in the passenger seat of her SUV early Monday morning with her eyes shut and mouth open, appearing to be passed out after a night of partying Teddy’s at the Roosevelt Hotel. Lohan’s pal, DJ Samantha Ronson can be seen in the driver’s seat trying to wake Lindsay. I swear, this bitch can’t hold her liquor! Obviously, someone will be checking themselves into “rehab” this week! Lohan is to appear in court August 24. Looks like it’s easier to spot celebrities in court rather than stalking their houses! May.29.2007 // Brandy: “Hell no! It ain’t even goin down like that!”

Brandy: “Hell no! It ain’t even goin down like that!”Brandy and a man who was hurt in a deadly freeway crash involving her Range Rover are suing each other. Brandy, whose real name is Brandy Norwood, and Mallory Ham of Simi Valley accuse each other of negligence in lawsuits filed last week in Superior Court. In court papers filed Wednesday, the 28-year-old singer-actress contends that Ham caused the Dec. 30 crash on the San Diego Freeway in Sherman Oaks. She also denies allegations made against her in a previous lawsuit, asserts her Fifth Amendment privileges against self-incrimination and requests a jury trial. Ham’s lawsuit, filed Friday, contends Brandy drove recklessly and seeks unspecified damages. Brandy had no immediate comment on the lawsuit.

“She’s just responding to pieces of litigation as they come in and doesn’t want to comment at this time,” Edwin McPherson, an attorney representing Brandy, said Tuesday.

A California Highway Patrol report said Brandy’s 2007 Range Rover failed to slow in traffic and was doing 65 mph when it struck another car that in turn was hit by Ham’s vehicle. The crash killed Awatef Aboudihaj, 38, of Los Angeles. Her husband has sued both Brandy and Ham for reckless driving. Aboudihaj’s parents and her two children also have separate lawsuits pending against Brandy. The city attorney’s office is still deciding whether to charge Brandy with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, spokesman Frank Mateljan said Tuesday. If charged and convicted, she could face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Uh-oh, Brandy ain’t playin! I’m sure she’s tired of these people coming after her about this. Hell, I’d be too … she already has to face what she has done. How much y’all wanna bet they wouldn’t even give this a second thought if she weren’t a celebrity?? The price of fame…

David “DC” Yeager, formerly known for making the young women go crazy with his smooth R&B vocals in the hot late-90’s singing trio Youngstown (ironically from Youngstown, Ohio) is back and better than ever. If you still don’t recall, Youngstown had their very first hit song a while back called “I’ll be your everything” and were signed to Hollywood Records. Well anyway, I couldn’t help to noticed this talented young man’s true singing ability, so much so to the point he is now hooked up in a duet with R&B sensation Ne-Yo for the song “Let Me Know,” and let me tell you, he hasn’t lost his touch one bit! I also like the song “Not What You’re Use To” a lot, but please don’t take my word for it- have a listen for yourself! And make sure you check DC Yeager out on his official Myspace and add him as a friend!
