Two New Tracks From Solange!

Solo’s back in the studio and working on an upcoming project! These are two new tracks you can listen to from Solange, “ChampagneChronicNightcap” and “White Picket Dreams,” (my absolute favorite!) below. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve always liked Solange’s music, even from the material on Simpley Deep plus I love Alternative R&B. Her music has always been a little bit more “grown-up” and full of depth. Kinda reminds me of a young Sade even, she has definitely grown on me I must say, so I am willingly anticipating the return of Miss Solange. Bring It On! Thanks a million to Brian for the links!

She’s not doing anything typical, I gotta commend her for that. It’s kinda like a mix of electro and RnB. I never cared for Solange until those two tracks, I can’t wait to hear more from her! Solange could surprise us!

Thanks Chanté ! I feel the same way, I’ve always love this girl since “sky away,” “beyond imagination,” “simply deep” and my ALL time favorite, “FREEDOM” - my joint!!! That girl can write, and it’s absolutely NOTHING out there that is typical… no one really has her sound so I’ll give her that definitely, good luck Solange, my sista!!!

These songs SUCK. It’s fine to be different but they gotta be GOOD and what’s up with her talking about gettin high? I thought the Knowles’ were CHristian???? Solange your sister has great music why can’t you do the same?

She’s like…. the Andre 3000 of R&B!! Especially with White Picket Dreams… how it’s kinda off… but it sounds cool at the same time???… i dunno. I like it! I guess it’s kind of an acquired taste…

I am so impressed with her especially because she writes all of her music. The arrangement is so sick! Her ear is crazy. I’m a vocalist so I know coming up with those harmonies shows she’s got some serious chops. Plus, the lyrical content is far from basic. If you check out ASCAP and search Destiny’s Child and Beyonce songs, you’ll notice that she’s co-writer on 90% of them. Don’t be too quick to say she needs to be “like Beyonce” because she was writing B’s music lol. ANYWAY….Mos def the Andre 3000 of R&B.
