Wheeew, I am so late with this but, it’s here! And there is just so much to discuss. Let me just start with- THIS ALBUM IS DOPE BUSINESS! But I simply can not post all of the songs so go out June 5th and BUY, BUY, BUY, BUY! Surprisingly good, more than I actually expected, there’s a lot of great up tempo songs including amazing production by Timbaland and Justin Timberlake along with Stargate and others. Of course the album features label mate Ne-Yo, “Hate That I Love You” a stringy guitar version of Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” in my opinion, and was executive produced by Jay-Z. You probably already remember “Shut Up And Drive,” a pop-rock kind of track that’s slated to be Rihanna’s second single lifted from the amancipated album, Good Girl Gone Bad. Overall it’s one of those records you hate at first but you can’t stop listening to it after the 500th time. Lawd knows when I heard “Breakin’ Dishes” and “Sell Me Candy”? Yeah, that drove me up a damn wall, sounded like a constipated cat, but urrrgh yet I keep playing it. I’d say the album deals mostly with love, which isn’t a bad thing, all the elements of love. And don’t think Rihanna has strayed from her Barbadian background either! I’m definitly diggin’ this new “Good Girl/ Bad Girl” image Rihanna has going on, beautiful melodies with assertive lyrics at the same time. A couple dance groves wouldn’t hurt either too! LOL, there’s this one song, “Breakin’ Dishes” that’s hilarious, “Still waiting, ‘come throught the door’! I’m killin’ time, ya know? bleachin’ ya clothes, I’m roastin’ marshmellows on the fiyah and what I’m burnin’? It’s ya attire!” LMAO! Almost kin to Brooke Valentines’ “I Want You Dead” which I looove! By the way, is she sayin’ she gonna BITE a man or FIGHT a man? Lol, I’ve included that particular song in the posting as well :)

People, if ya don’t know Janelle Monáe by now– what are you waiting for? Get to know her! Not only from the recent interview I did with this lovely young lady but by taking yourself on a futuristic musically journey filled with classic melodies, rockin’ sound, and funky tunes to the ear; new single “Violet Stars/ Happy Hunting” from Miss Monáe’s debut, Metropolis Suite I of IV: “The Case,” coming June 1st to be exact! Okay I knew this sounded familiar. I remember first hearing this, I absolutely needed the high quality, I was jammin’ to “Voilet Stars Happy Hunting”! Which you can hear on Janelle Monáe’s Myspace in its entiety. I see this is as an unique sound and flare fused from the likes of James Brown, Elvis, Judy Garland and a whole other mix of people inspired by her, same with performance.
Lies for the Liars is The Used’s third studio album. It will be released on May 22nd, 2007 and will include their first single, “The Bird And The Worm,” on it. There will also be a follow up to the album with a currently untitled EP featuring songs that won’t be on the album. Okay, I don’t know what everyone is talking about, hoopla about The Used’s and Linkin Park’s “drastic” genre change, I love both of the albums! Now, with Linkin Park, the album was mostly conceptually based you know? Not like the typical materialistic B.S. on the radio now, same with the video people! But The Used, I am not really a “die-hard” fan like that, I don’t know… All I know is I really liked it, the album rocks hepatitis ass, and The Used is the shit.

Wow, I just came over nostalgia recently, and realized how much I missed being a kid. Until this day I can still reminisce myself racing straight home after school doing my homework, changing clothes and getting myself situated to be laid out on the sofa, with my remote in one hand and junk food in the other. I still don’t know what happen to all these damn shows, they all just got canceled so swift and blindly. Please tell me WHAT ever happen to Taina? Chicka was destined towards stardom with the theme song, “Gonna Be A Star,” that was everybody and they moma’s jam– kids were singing it in class constantly. Taina was my show man! I also kept hearing rumors that the creators of That’s So Raven stole the primary concept of the show, but hopefully, that’s not the case. Nickelodeon was trippin’ ! They got rid of a lot of good shows The Journey of Allen Strange, An African-American (Arjay Smith) alien child left behind on Earth only to befriend two human children, and it is up to them to find a way to get him back home while they try to keep him a secret from their parents as well as others- the show broke down a lot of barriers inconspicuously when it came to race. But it was thoughtful life lessons learned throughout many of the trailless episodes I gained from. Then there’s All That, the original cast of course, a children’s sketch comedy-variety show that had me rollin’ every night I watched- even the marathons! Too many classics to name Good Burger, Vital Information, Ask Ashley (”thaaaat’s me!”), Whateverrrr! and let’s not forget the Pea Lady! Everytime they would serve lunch, and I got peas, at my school… I tore them mothers UP! :Deep breathe: so many great shows indeed, Me And My Brother, Are You Afraid Of The Dark? (that shit scared the hell out of me!), Claressa Explains It All… but then the cast started to leave and some shows got canceled, and it became boring and whack-tastic! I mean there were PETITIONS flying at Nickelodeon left and right! Still didn’t bring ‘em back… Oh and let’s not forget now, it was some pretty dope cartoons on that Saturday weekend I had to tape SNICK, Rocko’s Modern Life, Doug, Rugrats… 90’s was the SHIT! But do not fret, I’m sure the “greatest invention known to man,” Youtube, has a couple of these floating around.

After spending the night locked in a freezing cold jail cell with nothing to eat but a banana and a cookie, 75-year-old Ike Turner is sounding off about his bogus arrest over a recalled 1989 warrant. In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Turner claims that he wasn’t entirely sure if there was a warrant out for his arrest when cops stopped him last night, and admitted that he complied with officers because, “They could have been right!”
