THE 2007 BET AWARDS: THE PERFORMANCES - Ciara, James Brown Tribute, and The Encore!!

Ciara definitely brought it! She never dissapoints on stage. The vocals weren’t as good as I would have hoped them to, but that’s not what most people like about her. She gets an A for effort as far as that goes. But home girl can dance her ass off and put on a show! But her live voice is improving I might add. She performed “Like A Boy” and went into “That’s Right” - which I personally think should be the next single instead of “Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone.” But if she wants to be with HER BOO, then let her be…

James Brown! The Godfather of Soul! His death hit the industry pretty hard. But the BET Awards was not a place to mope around and be sad. Public Enemy brought the heat with a tribute performance to the Godfather ending with “Say It Loud (I’m Black and I’m Proud) - the song that makes us black folk proud to be black folk, and for good reason too!!

And last but not least, the encore performance. Public enemy (along with a bunch of random people) ended the show appropriately. The BET Awards were great this year, and I am proud to be black! They need to keep it up, because they definitely cannot slack off next year. All of the performances were great, and Mo’Nique definitely held it down as the host. Can’t wait ’til next year’s show!! Oh yeah … if you missed it, it will re-air this Friday!

i think that the 2007 bet awards was better than the 2008 bet awards because monique was not the host and she is funny and i didnt see beyonce , kelly rowland , the-dream , kobe bryant , missy elliott , monique , reggie bush , ti , 50 cent , snoop doggy dog , bow wow , omarion , or llyod. and plus i didnt see pleanty more from where that came from i was just naming a few. the 2008 bet awards was lame and uninteresting. yeah usher , chris brown , fine ass nelly , ciara , and keyshia cole , and mah gurl alicia keys performance was good but still it could have been better. it sucked. i had friends over at mah house we ordered pizza had a 2008 bet awards cake(it was a vanilla ice cream cake and it have hurray for the 2008 bet awards on it with blue icing and i was wonderful.) we had cookies, ice cream, pickles. popcorn, chips, lollipops, and some mixed candy likk m&m’s and kit kats and stuff likk dat. and mah 5 friends stayed ovaa and we cryed because the 2008 bet awards was so lame. well diss is good bye for now …chow

ps. if the 2008 bet awards was in mah home town (atlanta everybody would have been there. so they was so stupid to have way out there in california…..they fault the 2008 bet awards was lame…..peace.
