Capitol’s R&B crooner J. Holiday first hit the scene back in 2006 with his underrated single “Be With Me,” produced by infamous Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, lifted from the album Back of My Lac (set to drop September 25th). But it wasn’t until he released his latest single “Bed” that started generating buzz. With “Bed” Holiday breaks all boundaries, both melodic and sensual, the song starts off with a brief introduction fulled with soothing ad libs. Holiday explains how he’s going to “put you to bed” at what he calls a blissful night of lovemaking followed by an almost seemingly never ending climax of passion and ecstasy. Baby makin’ music basically!

Since I didn’t get a chance to post these yesterday, I decided to show y’all how various celebrities celebrated their 4th of July holiday. And apparantly Malibu was the spot! But first up, is Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri, who celebrated their holiday in Miami Beach, Florida. They look like they had a pretty good time! All I can say is hot damn! How nonchalant can you get?? Nick Lachey and his MTV host girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo, were recently spotted vacationing in Mexico. But that’s not what this post is about. These two were spotted, butt ass nekkid doing the dirty (aka having sex) in a hot tub! I’m mad they didn’t think this would end up all over the web. Doing it in the privacy of a bedroom behind closed doors is totally different than being out in the open in a hot tub.
“Where’s the scandal?” Lachey is quoted as telling OK! magazine. “I was in Mexico with my girlfriend of a year, celebrating our anniversary on a private vacation. It’s not like I was caught with a Mexican hooker. … This is the girl that I love. … It’s hard for me as a man to see my girl go through that.”
MTV presenter Minnillo added: “It was embarrassing, but we did nothing wrong. I felt personally violated. If I was being disrespectful I would [have] expected to be punished, but I wasn’t. It’s wrong.”

The Simple Life star found out that she was expecting the Good Charlotte frontman’s baby after taking a home pregnancy test, sources tell Us Weekly. An insider tells them, “She is extremely excited right now.†Nicole has so far refused to comment on the pregnancy reports, which started when she was snapped with a bloated belly, however multiple sources have confirmed that the rumours are true. After seeing how it all went down with Paris Hilton, I would get pregnant if I were her too =) That might just keep her skinny ass out of jail!
R&B newcomer Chris Brown just might be headed into a sophomore slump before his 2nd album, entited “Exclusive,” is even released! The album is due for an August 28 release, but his label might be pondering on ideas to push the album back a couple of weeks since “Wall to Wall,” the first single, hasn’t been doing so well on the charts. The single hasn’t reached the top 10, 20, or even 50 on the Billboard Hot 100! As a matter of fact, as of the current issue of Billboard, Wall to Wall is sitting at #88 with a peak at #79 after 5 weeks. I hope they can recover by pushing out a second single. I’d hate to see Chris Brown go down like this…

Avril Lavigne faces a lawsuit by the members of a 1970s rock band who claim her hit song “GIRLFRIEND” rips off one of their tunes. Songwriters Tommy Dunbar and James Gangwer alleged in a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court that Lavigne and her co-writers lifted their 1979 song “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend,” which was originally performed by new wave band The Rubinoos.
“We are not so naive as to chalk it up to some sort of cosmic coincidence,” Dunbar said in a statement Thursday. “The lyric, the meter, the rhythm — they’re identical.”
The first court date has been set for Aug. 28 in Oakland. A spokeswoman for Lavigne declined comment. The lawsuit is not the first mention of the similarities between the songs. Music critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine, in a review published on Billboard magazine’s Web site, noted that the chorus of “Girlfriend” was a “total lift from the Rubinoos’ ‘I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend.”‘ The Rubinoos toured and recorded from 1975 to 1983 and had a hit with a cover version of Tommy James and the Shondells’ “I Think We’re Alone Now.” They also wrote the theme song for the movie “Revenge of the Nerds.”

Grammy winner Nelly Furtado is engaged to sound engineer Demacio “Demo” Castellon, who worked on her hit 2006 album Loose, PEOPLE confirms. Timbaland, who is a friend of Furtado, gave a one-word reply when asked if the engagement was true: “Yes.” The two had been dating for about a year and a half.
Furtado has a 3-year-old daughter with DJ and producer Jasper “Lil’ Jaz” Gahunia. They split in 2005 after four years together, but Furtado told Blender: “We’re fully active co-parents and really close friends.” When asked why the two had never married, Furtado said, “I’m kind of modern. I don’t really live by society’s standards. Maybe in the next five years I’ll get married, have more kids. One grandmother had eight kids, the other had 10.
