If you didn’t know already, USHER AND TAMEKA CANCELED THE WEDDING, which was supposed to take place this past Saturday at L.A. Reid’s mansion in the Hamptons. Well apparently last week was not such a good week for the odd couple.
“Usher’s mother is against the wedding. That is one of the main obstacles,” a source revealed to the press, who also said of the bride, 37, and groom, 28: “They only decided two weeks ago to have a wedding. They wanted to have it take place before the baby bump started showing.”
Obviously Ursh changed his mind and told Tameka “it ain’t happenin homegirl.” - Okay he really didn’t say that, but it was probably something of that nature LOL.
“Usher and Tameka had a lot of differences about the details. For example, the bride wanted barbeque, [and] he wanted to have [renowned chef] Jean Georges cook,” said the snitch. As a result of the differences, the wedding “was on again off again for the past few days. [Foster] was calling it off because she wasn’t getting the things that she wanted. The mother was calling it off … Usher was calling it off.”
Just a few hours before the afternoon ceremony was to take place at the Southampton, N.Y., estate of Def Jam music executive L.A. Reid on Saturday, Usher’s publicist Patti Webster issued the following statement:
“It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected.”
It is believed the 70 to 100 guests, including powerhouse couples Janet Jackson & Jermaine Dupri and Beyonce & Jay-Z, were told just hours before the big event not to bother showing up. As you could tell in the AERIAL PHOTO that we posted, the whole shinding was set up and ready to go! Refrigerated trucks had already delivered the food and just hours before the “big announcement” decorators were putting the finishing touches to the reception tent. Everybody still got paid though! But I wonder what happened to all that food, and I wonder if the decorators will have to be paid extra if they decide to get married again. Hmm…
Rihanna interrupted her set for a few seconds at a recent concert in an attempt to stop some drunk fans in the audience from fighting. In the middle of “Breakin Dishes,” she told the band to “cut it” and immediately told the drunk concert-goers “if you don’t stop, we’re gonna cut the show, alright!” Damn her accent is just so sexy. THE WEDDING’S OFF! » I guess those untold convictions finally caught up with her gold digging ass! The wedding between Usher and his pregnant fiance has been canceled, his publicist told The Associated Press earlier today. The wedding between the multiplatinum singer and his longtime girlfriend, Tameka Foster, was scheduled for Saturday. The pair are expecting their first child together sometime this fall. However, a statement released by publicist Patti Webster exclusively to the AP read:
“It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected.”

Love Laurie Ann Gibson (as a choreographer), hate the song “Addictive.” I don’t know, I’m not feeling it all that much, to tell you the truth. She sounds like an even more watered-down version of Fergie, to be completely honest. I feel like snagging the master of this song, getting into a nearby car, driving 95 miles an hour - while jumping out of the window - and letting the car run off a lovely cliff in passing, to put it simple. Urgh, I have to go listen to some Ashanti to balance that off cause now my equilibrium is effed up, to be blunt.

WHO DOES RONNY THINK HE IS? » You have GOT to be kidding me! It’s not very often you come across someone who wants your pity for a mess they got themselves into. Apparently Ronald Isley is on the grind trying to keep his butt out of jail for 3 years. He is currently in the process of requesting a pardon from President Bush for his recent conviction of tax evasion. The Isley Brothers frontman was found guilty on charges of of evading federal income tax payments to the tune of $3.1 million in 2005, and was sentenced to 3 years in prison subsequently in September 2006. The evasion spanned a time-period of 5 years (1997 - 2002). U.S. District Judge Dean Peterson labelled Isley “a serial tax avoider” in the Los Angeles court last year. He is scheduled to begin his 3-year prison sentence come August 7, but if he gets his way … he’ll get away scotch free. The new buzz is that his fans and record label Def Jam have started lobbying Bush to pardon the singer, urging people to contact the White House. Isley is currently battling cancer of the kidney and recently recovered from a stroke. The petition reads:
“In lieu of the recent charges brought against Mr. Isley, he is currently in the process of a total restitution of his financial obligations to the IRS. Mr. Isley has also offered to perform for troops at various military bases to help heal the country and show his support for their tireless efforts to protect this country. It is important to point out that Ronald Isley has no prior criminal record, and has been a law-abiding, taxpaying employer since 1956.”

Planet Earth is the forthcoming album from music icon Prince, BUY, BUY, BUY. This album kind of sticks to the original LP, which was 45 minutes, it’s really short. Anyway, despite that fact - I really enjoyed the album! So the quantity didn’t matter, rather the quality of the album, and that it had! My favorite tracks are, of course, the first single “Guitar” - play the gui-tar Prince! If you notice in the breakdown of Justin Timberlake’s “I Think She Knows” Interlude they both favor each other. I also love “Chelsea Rodgers,” which is the second single ironically. Another favorite of mine that you absolutely must listen to is “Future Baby Mama” and “Planet Earth”. I recommend this album for all those R&B/ Rock heads, it’s a great record you can throw in the whip while your driving to work or just riding around on a cloudy night.

Sean Kingston is the self-titled debut album of your boy set to released on July 31st so BUY, BUY, BUY please. The album features guest appearances by Paula DeAnda, Vybez Kartel and Kardinal Official (people say I look like him, lol). Now, as far as production went your boy Jonathan Rotem aka JR took it upon himself to produce on this project while Sean Kingston wrote the entire album. He is “the package” as far as I’m concerned; great singer, rapper and songwriter whose rise to fame began with a little invention called MySpace. Now, known for deftly switching between an Urban-American dialect and a Jamaican patois in his music - Sean Kingston creates this genuine sound that immegiately draws you in. This is the case with his latest LP, you know? At first, I thought his whole theme was “hopeless romantic” but not at all! I think the album doesn’t vary, nor disappoints, and is very diverse on subjects. I still can’t believe he’s a peer of mine and he made it so big. I feel proud that he’s from Miami and reppin’ to the fullest! I wish him all the success, he deserves it, after listening to that album - I sort of step into his shoes for a minute. If you want to know my personal, personal opinion … I would definitely recommend this as a good buy. You will not regret it, seriously.
