USHER AND TOM-EKA ARE GETTING MARRIED THIS WEEKEND? … OH, JOY! » ((Sigh)) I used to be a big Usher fan, but … I dunno. I mean the way he’s treating my girl ERIKA is just wrong. We were just talking about it the other day. I’m so glad she’s holding on to the site. Not for him, but for his fans. Anyhow, there’s a rumor circulating that Usher and Tameka Foster are making moves to get hitched this weekend. I’ve been hearing Friday, and I’ve also been hearing Saturday. So I really don’t know, and if you really wanna know the truth … I could care less :-\ But I figured y’all would, so there it is! The rest of the today’s rundown can be found … well, you know where it is! LOL CONTINUE READING
Okay. I recently got into this guy, Kevin Michael, after first peepin him on HIP AND POP with his critically acclaimed iTunes single “We All Want The Same Thing”; which later featured ya boy Lupe Fiasco. With Kevin’s music being both inspiring and phenomenally refreshing he also breaks down racial barriers in today’s society. Especially with this joint right here, “It Don’t Make Any Difference To Me (One Love),” although I really like the Acoustic version (the song + video) featuring Akil Dasan better - this one featuring Wycelf Jean isn’t so bad! But yeah, you really have to get into his music, you have no idea how much he has inspired me. I expect big things for this young man, I wish you all the best Kevin!
“First thing’s first, I does what I do!” LOL I love that song. Fabolous and Ne-Yo dropped by 106 and Park the other day and performed their song “Make Me Better” on the brand new 106 and park stage. Ne-Yo also performed his solo single “Do You” and Charlie Murphy was their to promote BET’s Hot Ghetto MessWE GOT TO DO BETTER (if you didn’t know, they changed the name), which I must add is making headline news JUSTABOUTDAMNNEAREVERYWHERE! Anyhow, check out more flicks of Ne-Yo & Fabolous after the cut! And since we missed out on the other celebs who dropped by 106, you can check flicks of them on the show as well!
Looks like our girl Lauryn Hill has messed it up for a Fugees reunion. Their performance at the 2005 BET Awards had me all hyped up and everything! I still bump to “Killing Me Softly” every now and then. But this is what Pras told to BILLBOARD:
“We went in the studio and recorded a couple records that were incredible. But, to put it nicely, it’s dead,” says Pras. “Me and Clef, we on the same page, but Lauryn [Hill] is in her zone, and I’m fed up with that sh*t. Here she is, blessed with a gift, with the opportunity to rock and give and she’s running on some b*llshit? I’m a fan of Lauryn’s but I can’t respect that.”
Serena Williams? Naked? Yessir! She looks a little “buff” from the temple down to the feet but you can’t knock her for doing something as revealing as this. And besides that, her ass is just WOW! Now I’m not sure if it’s the angle or what, but it definitely does not look as big as it does when she’s wearing those tight shorts. What’s up with that?? This is what the caption reads:
“ll take off my shirt in a second - locker room girls don’t have much shame. Once I was getting ready to go out and my hitting partner - who is my best friend and, like, Greek God handsome, walked into my hotel room, it wasn’t awkward for me, but he freaked out. I told him we had to get married.”
Now before you start calling her names for doing this, according to Entertainment Tonight, Eva Mendes and Joss Stone (among a few others) also posed for the same magazine. And proceeds from its sale will go to “Clothes Off Our Back,” a non-profit charity which sells celebrities’ gently worn clothing to benefit children’s charities. Now, where’s Eva’s nude picture?? Check out Serena’s after the cut! If you’re at work, make sure your boss isn’t peeping… CONTINUE READING
Hmm, is it or just me, does this video seem like it leaked at the right time? I mean really, it’s not even the real thing. It still has those director’s numbers on it. If you watch DVD extras and deleted like me you know what I’m talking about LOL. I guess it was a smart move on the PR’s part because they did generate a little buz on Ja and Wayne’s side. Smart move guys! Now will this all hold up to stand the test of time, and will Ja Rule make the comeback that he wants? We’ll just have to wait … and see! Check out the “premiere” of Ja Rule’s new video feat. the King of Features, Lil Wayne - “Uh Oh.”
R&B crooner Robin Thicke and local producer Scott Storch were just the few that recently attended Beyonce Knowles’ after concert party at the hottest club in Miami Beach, Mansion. I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t get to go the concert, but I am going to the SCREAMFEST TOUR - BOOYAH!
LAILA ALI MARRIES FORMER NFL STAR »PEOPLE is reporting that female boxing champ Laila Ali and her fiancee, former NFL star Curtis Conway tied the knot in a private ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday. Among the 200 guests were Laila’s parents, Muhammad Ali and Veronica Porsche Anderson, along with her sister Hana Ali, who was a bridesmaid. Conway’s twin sons, Kelton and Cameron, 12, were the ringbearers while his daughter Leilani, 8, stepped in as the flowergirl. Congratulations Laila and Curtis! FRIDAY, JULY 20TH 2007 » The original Dreamgirls musical recently celebrated their 25th anniversary, and to celebrate the occasion a live performance was held at the famous Fox Theater in Atlanta. Jennifer Holliday, the original Effie White, performed in the show in addition to Cindy Herron-Braggs (Deena) and Kiara Bennett (Lorelle). The show was performed throughout the entire weekend, and the cast made their final bow last night. I’m glad they did this so Jennifer Holliday can finally go sit her bitter ass down somewhere LMAO. Y’all know she had to be the “last one” to play Effie!
It seems like everybody and their mama is biting off of Michael Jackson nowadays. Originally the list included male R&B artists. Now we can add a group of Filipino prisoners to said list. No, really … check out the video above! Who are these people you ask? Over 1,500 CPDRC inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, Cebu, Philippines at practice! Yeah, you read it right. This NOT the final routine. They did a pretty damn good job if you ask me! My favorite part is the dude in the high heels with alopecia. Classic! My question is who the hell came up with this idea, and how long did it take to choreograph? LMAO
A lot of people were asking about this video with Ciara on 106 & Park recently, I finally found the footage, so I decided to post it for you all! Let me elaborate a little on the video, Ciara, TIP, Young Jock & Lloyd sit down on the couch with Terrence J and Rocsi to talk about the one Scream tour I’m thinking about attending, Screamfest ‘07. All the Scream tour boys leave, Terrence and Rocsi try and pull some answers out of C C as to why she was sitting by 50 Cent at the BET awards (are you dating?), why she was practically nekkid in a video with the rapper and what’s with “25″? I’ll go ahead and spoil one of questions, when asked is she in fact dating 50, Ciara just evasively replied, “we’re just friends” and smiled … suuuure Ciara! Oh, she also talks about modeling with Lady Rocawear - you can watch her “I Will Not Lose” interview/ ad after the cut! CONTINUE READING
Blitz McBain, a 19 year-old out of downtown Manhattan, is best known for his multiple flows and creative side. With influences Jay-Z, Prince, and Kanye West, the man is not afraid to spark controversy. He first established a name in the New York hip-hop scene at the age of twelve when he involved himself in the music industry-related work of his uncle. With clever lines and street-ridden beats, Blitz consistently brings something fresh to the game. He focuses primarily on the music aspect of his career. “I have to stay clean,” he tells us in a downtown coffee shop. “I’m basing everything on what [my uncle] did wrong. He had an ego problem and a drinking problem. Liver problems prevented him from ever taking the spotlight as a major rapper.” The name Blitz, as you may already know, originates from the popular video game NFL Blitz. “When I used to fight, I would come with aggression. That’s how I got the name. And it stuck.” Blitz is now putting every second he has into his up-and-coming album, Look At Me Now. When asked his favorite song off the album, he replies, “My favorite song is ‘Comfort Me’. It takes place in the afterlife and how I think it’s gonna’ be once I die- like being an angel looking down on the world as somebody dies.”
