30 Years Later and People STILL Care About You!

Fans remember Elvis

Now you know you’re important when on the the 30th anniversary of your death, hundreds, if not, thousands of people travel all the way to Memphis to honor you in memorials, candle light vigils, and whatever else they can think of. I’m talking about Elvis here, people! And you know the impersonators had to show up and show out too, hah! And apparently, Elvis is the WHITE PEOPLE’S 2-PAC! Just as most black folk claim that Tupac Shakur is still alive and well … just in hiding, a lot of crazy white folk say the same about Elvis! Anyhow, wouldn’t we all like to be loved and remembered like that when we go?

it must be nice to have that big of an impact on ppl…but they kill me with this celebration every year…the white ppl do not be playin about Elvis. I don’t even go towards whitehaven (BKA BLACKHAVEN) around this time of yr… it’s way tooooooooooooooooooo many people!

At the time Elvis hit rock and roll was a Black form of music that Whites hated and wanted to get rid of. The sight of White women screaming to the sound, music and look of Black men was scary to them and they weren’t having it. Elvis was the White answer to all those Black men. His impact is purely racial. Elvis made White men think they could be cool too. He made rock and roll okay. Copying Black artists, sound look and moves. Read your history children and be careful who you worship.
