50 Cent & Lil Kim Sued Over “Magic Stick!”

50 Cent and Lil’ Kim, along with their record labels, have been sued by a New York producer who claims the pair owes him $2 million in royalties for work on 2003’s “Magic Stick,” which was intended for 50’s debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” but ended up on Lil’ Kim’s “La Bella Mafia.” Carlos Evans says he was employed by Rotten Apple Records to produce, engineer and mix the song in 2003, but has never received a payment. Evans says, “It was one of the hottest tracks on that album, and I didn’t collect my royalties.”

This was such a long time ago. Why are they being sued just now? Just wondering…

You dont get your royalties right away, most of the time you get royalties of 2004, late 2005. They have to check all national and international charts. That’s how it goes in Europe think USA will take much longer… Doenst mean the producer is late thought :P

Magic Stick is old though! I don’t be hearin’ it play on tha radio!
