Thanks so much to the Regulator Blog (via Chris) for this! I been waitin’ - in Riley Freeman voice - if Atlantic doesn’t release this their nuts! LOL. “Elevator,” hopefully, is the next single from fellow “Miamian,” Flo Rida - and it features Timbaland. He also produced this song! I know, instant hit. What-what! Flo Rida’s debut Mail on Sunday (Atlantic) drops March 18th and features the smash hit “Low” featuring T-Pain.
Here music producer and mogul Pharrall can be seen in this television commercial for his Blason jewelery line, in association with Luis Vuitton. In the commercial you can also peep a clip of N*E*R*D’s new single “Everybody Nose”! Oh, and you might as well check out the final mix over at Pharrell’s Blog. No dramatic changes really, just synth-pop. [ SPOTTED @ Rap-Up.com ]
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOMINIQUE!! A HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS? LOOK AT-CHU, AT-CHU!!
Make Me a Supermodel is a reality television series hosted by former supermodels Tyson Beckford and Niki Taylor on the cable network Bravo. The show, of course, not to be confused with the U.K.’s Make Me a Supermodel, officially premiered on January 10, 2008, prior to the model’s audition which aired on January 2. Each week the following contestants compete against each other in the hopes of becoming the next supermodel, viewers are ask to vote (via text messaging or Internet) for the two models who they think should stay in the competition and be voted out of the bottom 3. The season started with 14 contestants, 3 episodes have aired, the show is now down to 12. One will be sent home on next week’s episode, Thursday.
So far the models have done 3 cumbersome challenges including, posing on a platform; in the cold, in Times Square, hanging in the air whilst getting their pictures taken, and doing a sexy shoot based on chemistry. This was especially a task, as well as a uncompromising position, for four of the models, seeing how they had to do same-sex poses with each other.
Some would refer to Make Me a Supermodel as Top Model meets Project Runway, that’s what I thought really, but it’s not. I really like the show because it’s less “gimmicky,” if you will, and includes men. Anyway if you would like more information on this show check out the related links and watch Make Me a Supermodel Thursday nights on Bravo because there are tons of stuff I left out purposely.
Here is the official “Can’t Help But Wait” remix featuring Lil’ Wayne, the remix includes all new lyrics as well as production from Wayne. I’m so happy that him and Trey squashed whatever “beef” they had before and stuck to making great music. That is what’s up! As far as the remix, I’m digging it, the production and material are gold.

Like it or not, Flavor of Love 3 is coming … and soon. Maybe not next week, or even the week after. But on Monday, February 11th 2008, your living rooms, bedrooms, whatever, will be invaded by the mug of the creature above. Hide the children. Flavor Flav is back! Will I be watching? Hell yeah. Will I hate myself later for wasting approximately 10 - 12 hours of my life, over the span of the entire season? Probably.
We took you guys behind the scenes, and now we’re bringing you the finished product. Here’s the video for DJ Felli Fel’s debut single, “Get Buck in Here,” which features Diddy, Akon, Ludacris, and Lil Jon. Jermaine Dupri’s short ass even makes a cameo in the video. All they need is a hook from T-Pain and a verse from Lil’ Wayne, and they’re set! I have a feeling an unnecessary remix will be released pretty soon. Mark my words.
On a side-note, I wonder what the budget for this video was. $15, some food stamps, and left-over peach cobbler from Christmas? I don’t have a problem with “green screen videos.” But if you’re gonna do it, do it right!
(UPDATED) OPEN QUESTION: Am I the only one who noticed that DJ Felli Fel kat in “Malibu’s Most Wanted?” You know, the scene with Mike Epps when B-Rad (lol) is free-styling at that club. I just noticed that today (Jan. 26th) when it aired on Comedy Central!
AP is reporting that rapper Busta Rhymes was sentenced by a Manhattan judge to three years’ probation and 10 days of community service Wednesday for assaulting his former driver and a fan. The 35-year-old rapper was also fined $1,250, in addition to court costs, for driving with a suspended license AND under the influence. He pleaded guilty to the charges - related to four separate incidents - in Manhattan Criminal Court. Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith, must also enroll in a DWI program.
“I just want to say that I’m very grateful to the judge, and I’m very grateful to the system. I believe in the system,” Rhymes said as he left court.
What-what! “New AmErykah” is almost here! I’m so excited becos I’ve heard Erykah Badu is set to work with Bilal for her upcoming LP, New Amerykah (Motown), in stores February 26th so you know I gotta hear this! As for the album cover? It’s creative, thought provoking … I like it!
Having seen all of Tyler Perry’s stage productions makes me a Tyler Perry fan, I guess you can say. So I was thrilled when I heard that he’d be making a movie out of “Meet the Browns,” which happens to be one of my favorite plays from Tyler! I guess he wasn’t playing when he said he’d be making a movie out of all of his past stage plays. “Meet the Browns” stars Angela Basset, Jenifer Lewis, Rick Fox, and of course, writer AND director Tyler Perry. The movie is set to hit theaters March 21st 2008! Now all I need is a movie for “Madea Goes to Jail,” and I’m set, Lol.
For more information on the movie, be sure to check out its IMDb page!
Lil Wayne was arrested on not one, not even two, but THREE felony drug charges earlier today (January 23rd) after federal agents said they found illegal drugs, including cocaine, on his charter bus at a checkpoint in southwestern Arizona, AP is reporting. Cocaine Weezy? Oh really?? The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., spent the day at the Yuma County jail before being released, Capt. Eben Bratcher said. After posting more than $10,000 bond, the rapper signed autographs for fans outside a bondsman’s office.
James Tilson, a local lawyer retained by Carter, said that his client was not formally charged and that his next court date was scheduled for Friday, January 25th.
“We will find out by January 25th whether or not the [Yuma] county attorney will file charges or not,” Tilson said. “He is looking forward to his day in court. That’s all I can say right now.”
The 25-year-old rapper faces charges of possession of dangerous drugs, narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Weezy’s bus was stopped at approximately 11:30 P.M. Tuesday night at a Border Patrol checkpoint near Dateland, Arizona, which is about 78 miles east of Yuma, Capt. Bratcher said. A Border Patrol dog alerted agents to the presence of illegal drugs on the bus, said Drug Enforcement Administration spokeswoman Ramona Sanchez. After they searched the bus, they found nearly 4 ounces of marijuana and just over an ounce of cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia. DEA agents then arrested Carter, who was traveling with 11 others.
Officials also found a .40-caliber pistol registered to Carter, who has a concealed weapons permit in Florida. Authorities are looking into whether he violated any weapons laws in Arizona. Two other men were arrested with him, and they each face a charge of possession of marijuana.
Please don’t tell me one of my favorite rappers is a cokehead. One is already on house arrest ’til God knows when. WTF is up with these fools? Oh, and if you’re wondering, something like this has happened before! SMH…
With all of the talks of him being a porn producer and all, I almost forgot this guy was a singer! Or at least he tries, Lol. His attempt at an album is due to hit stores this April and holds the title “All I Feel.” Here’s his new video, featuring rapper Yung Berg (whatever happened to this guy??), Sexy Can I.
R&Ber R. Kelly teamed up with Kanye West on his current single “Flashing Lights” from the album Graduation (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) in stores now! Loved the original so much, the remix is ok … just OK. But I’ll bump it anyway since R. Kelly is on it. Props to Regulators via Chris for this mix. You can listen to the full dirty version below peeples..

MOAR!? Yes, bb! I loved the video clip for Ghosts (full version), which can also be classified as a short feature film, it’s like a 40 minute music video ha ha. The songs featured, in order, are “2 Bad,” “Is It Scary,” and “Ghosts” and they are all from HIStory and Blood on the Dance Floor. This is the longest running music video of all time second to R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet” series. The reason I chose this video as another one of my favourite MJ throwbacks is becos the dancing and songs are wicked, yes! My favourite, fabourite scene would have to be “Ghosts,” I love that song so much and it was so funnie! And when he bowed at the end like, “WHAT! Bitch, I’m the KING!” I was like, “there he go”. Once again, Michael Jackson will always be the King of Pop, forever … forever.
