So … am I the only one who didn’t even know Remy Ma and Papoose were dating? The rapper recently confirmed to the media that he plans on marrying Remy Smith (Remy Ma) next month, in light of her conviction of intentional assault and her potential 25-year prison sentence.
“We always wanted to keep our personal lives personal, so that’s why we never went public with our relationship,” Papoose wrote in an e-mail to MTV News. “Right now, I just feel like she gotta live through me. Yes, we were scheduled to be married on a yacht April 27th. But due to circumstances beyond our control, we are now making arrangements to be married in prison.”
Papoose also revealed that his future wife will appeal the court’s conviction.
Remy Ma is currently being held without bail until her sentencing, which is set for April 23rd.
NBA star Lebron James has a big-time agenda to meet! He has publicy stated that he wants to become the first billionaire athlete, and at the young age of 24, he might just meet that goal. With endorsements deals from Nike, Sprite, and now Vitamin Water, amongst other deals, the “point forward,” as he is called, has earned close to $250 million!
But back to his new deal. The Cleveland Cavaliers front man will be featured in a series of commercials advertising Vitamin Water. The commercials are set to air during the 2008 NBA Playoffs, and will feature Lebron James as a lawyer. That’s a far cry from his current image: “King Kong.” I know you guys peeped his cover shoot for Vogue Magazine. If you haven’t heard about the controversy that particular cover has been causing, then you need to find a new place to live, because the hole you’ve apparently been living in appears to be pretty dark and lonely! Some associates of mine who are in business school have developed a new blog measurement system called the Blog Performance Indicator (BPI).The BPI measures a percentage of Alexa traffic, Technorati score, Digg, del.icio.us, RSS feeds, social bookmarking reader usage and how much the site has grown in the past month and compares it vs. other “similar category” blogs.
The BPI is supposed to be the most accurate measurement of how one blog performs vs. another and the competition as a whole. I was able to convince them to run the scores for hip-hop blogs. Over 100 active hip-hop blogs (min. one post a week) were rated with over 3,000 active hip-hop blogs found in the nation…

I know I might catch some flack for this but real talk, Tameka looks like she’s at the show with her three sons! Anyway, the 2008 Kids’ Choice Awards went down Saturday night in L.A. and you know all of the adult stars brought their kids to Nickelodeon’s annual awards ceremony. Every year around this time, the KCA’s honors the year’s biggest television, movie and music acts, as voted by kids who watch Nickelodeon.
Stars like D.Woods,Lil Mama,Lilly Allen, and Teyana Taylor have all recently rock’d a new “style.” Dresses with sneakers! Wearing sneakers with a dress has never been hot and hopefully never will! Ladies, please take a GOOD LOOK at the pics below before you plan on taking some inspiration from them. This is definitely a Fashion NO-NO!
SEAN LEVERT AT THE 2008 NAACP IMAGE AWARDS THIS PAST FEBRUARY
According to WKYC in Ohio, R&B singer Sean Levert, who was the younger brother of the late Gerald Levert and a former member of R&B group Levert, was pronounced dead just before midnight Sunday at Lutheran Hospital. The Cuyahoga County Coroner’s office said Sean LeVert’s body was taken to the hospital from the Cuyahoga County Jail. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed sometime today.
Sean Levert, who was sent to prison for failing to pay child support, had only been in jail for less than one week. He owed $85,427.68 in back support for his three children - ages 11, 15 and 17.
While it is known that he suffered from an illness before being sent to prison, it is unknown whether or not the illness caused his untimely death. He was only 39 years old. His brother, who preceded him in death, was 40 years old at his time of death.
Our condolences go out to the Levert family at this time.

The ladies of Danity Kane celebrated the release of their sophomore album Welcome to the Dollhouse with a second album release party, held at The Bank Nightclub at Bellagio in Vegas. And Music World Music does it again! I swear, that management team has some crazy ideas when it comes to marketing their talent. Most people do radio promos, interviews, and commercials, among other things. But no, not Mathew Knowles and the rest of his crew. They decided to leak a song Beyonce’s been working on because they knew that shit will spread like the bird flu in the Middle East. Had they leaked a song from Kelly, Michelle, or Solange … it probably wouldn’t have even seen the light of day. Sad … but true.
