The streets are talking! And they don’t have many good things to say about Usher’s new wifey Tameka. Word on the sidewalk is that home girl was acting up on the set of her husband’s new video for In This Club. You see, Usher made two big mistakes. Mistake #1: Hiring Tameka as the stylist for his video. Mistake #2 (but technically not really a mistake): Hiring Keri Hilson as the leading lady; someone who is much more beautiful than that Tameka creature whom he calls “wife.” Anyway, a spy for Page Six let the cat out of the bag, and revealed all of the dirt that you’d never hear come from the mouths of neither Usher nor his PR team. Peep the dirt below…
Foster was “domineering” and displayed her trademark “Tameka wrath” during a video shoot for Usher’s new song, “Love in the Club,” the weekend of March 15 in LA. Our on-set source said Foster was upset when she found out stunning singer/songwriter Keri Hilson was personally picked by Usher to play his love interest in the video.
“It was supposed to be a sexy video shoot,” our spy said. “And Tameka was there the entire time guarding like a watchdog. It was ridiculous - she knows Keri and knows she’s no video ho or Karrine Steffans.” Steffans, nicknamed “Superhead,” wrote the book, “Video Vixen,” about her alleged flings with Usher and several other artists.
“Tameka is very insecure,” our source said. “Even in rehearsals she was weird and clearly not happy that Keri is so gorgeous. Tameka threw a lot of attitude. The day of the shoot, Tameka dressed Keri very badly - she looked like an extra. Tameka wouldn’t let Keri have her hairdresser there - she had to use the hairdresser who was doing the extras.”
Foster also took a dislike to Usher’s longtime choreographer, Jamaica, and banned her from the set. When Usher and Foster were spotted at the Beverly Hills Hotel last week, “They barely said one word to each other,” we’re told.
The Making the Band 4 (Season 2) Finale aired Sunday on MTV, and if you missed the live performances like me, you have our good friends over at Yardie’s Yard to thank! Check out the performances from Day 26 and Donnie Klang (f/ Diddy) after the break! CONTINUE READING
Meet new artist VERBZ (or Verse), a Shopaholic emcee originally from London, England. Born to a Jamaican daddy and South American mother Natalia ‘Verbz’ Cappuccini, 21, is a hybrid of quite a few cultures; that including hip hop. I love this girl, the moment I clicked onto her MySpace page I felt a young, fresh, quirky aura - with sophistication. Shopaholic is fun and catchy, Swaggeriffic is self-explanatory, Dangerous has strikingly enticing beat, Heaven is a mild and melodic tune with much significance that meets the ear.
Another rapper made a trip to the courthouse today, but received slightly worse news. Rapper Remy Ma, who was accused of intentionally shooting her ex-best friend and stylist over $3,000 back in the summer of 2007 was found guilty of intentional assault, which can be punished by up to 25 years in prison. The jury acquitted Remy of charges of intimidating a witness in the case.
According to the NY Times, 26-year-old Remy “Remy Ma” Smith, kept her composure as Justice Rena K. Uviller ordered her to prison, until her sentencing next month. And it wasn’t until court officers closed the door to the courtroom holding cell behind her that she broke down, screaming, “My son! My son!” over and over again. Her lawyer, Ivan S. Fisher, later revealed that the rapper hadn’t said goodbye to her 8-year-old son that morning. She believed that she would win the case. And now, she might be in her 40s or 50s when she’s released from prison.
Rapper T.I.pleaded guilty to federal weapons possession charges in court today (Mar. 27th), and will receive a sentence that includes prison time after he completes community service. In the year that he is awaiting sentencing, Clifford “T.I.” Harris, must complete at least 1,000 hours of a total 1,500 hours of community service, talking to youth groups about the pitfalls of guns, gangs and drugs. According to officials, the CEO of Grand Hustle Entertainment will be sentenced to serve 1 year in prison after completing the community service. His prison time could be increased or reduced, depending on his fulfillment of the terms of the deal and good behavior, they added. Dressed in a grey business suit, the rapper expressed to the judge that he understands the terms of the agreement.
“I’d like to thank God for blessing me with a second chance in life and success,” T.I. said to the media. “I’m looking forward to turning this negative time in my life into a positive. I know I have a long road of redemption to travel.”
U.S. Attorney David Nahmias said that in addition to the 1 year prison sentence and the 1,500 hours of community service, T.I. will have to serve 3 years of supervised home detention (house arrest) and pay a $100,000 fine. That’s a far cry of the original sentence, which amounted to close to or more than 20 years! But if he “fails to fulfill his obligations,” a much longer sentence will be the consequence.
PEEP A VIDEO OF T.I. LEAVING THE COURTHOUSE AFTER THE BREAK…
By far the best song off of Keyshia Cole’s sophomore album Just Like You finally has its own video! But don’t get too excited. The video is a big snooze. Heaven Sent, the video for the 4th single off the album premiered on BET’s Access Granted today. Even though the whole idea of filming the video for a ballad like this on a deserted island is way past played out, Keyshia looks hella fine! I’m really glad she let go of the orange highlights in her hair. But back to the video, if I wanted to watch random fading clips of mountains, oceans, and jungles, I would click on one of those annoying screensaver ads you see on some sites and download away. I’m just saying. Benny Boom, c’mon … I know you can do better than that!
Oh well, there’s not much we can do about it now. I believe this will be the final single off the album, just in time for everything to settle down for the Christmas 2008 release of her third album. Can’t wait! Just don’t give us crappy videos like this, ever again.
New music from Beyonce, apparently titled Beautiful Nightmare, thanks go out to Clips & Kisses! Beautiful Nightmare is a nice, melodic midtempo kinda song, it’s like an updated old school type of joint I’m feelin; the lyrics give me that vibe as well. This appears to be a Seven Aurelius production, so I’m lead to believe. If this is what Beyonce has in store for us then I can’t wait to hear more from this project!

Chris Brown is making some major moves in the industry with the release of his late-2007 album, Exclusive (Jive), already platinum-status worthy, him winning the NAACP Image Award for Best Male Artist of 2008, his moderately successful tour as well as all of his other lucrative business projects. There is no denying that Young Chris is on a roll and there is absolutely no stopping this pop superstar. Brown is currently planning the re-issue of Exclusive, with brand new material and hopefully some concert footage, set to be released in later months. One new song, produced by Polow Da Don, will serve as the album’s next single, entitled Forever.
We went into the studio, Polow gave me a beat, and I just started writing. His record is more of a European, techno, house-type feel,” Brown recalled. “We wanted to give it that other side of crossover, and go a little bit to that pop realm. Hopefully, [I'll] be the Prince of Pop. I don’t want to say I’m the King [Mike: That's right, you better not say King, Boy! Cos we all know who that happens to be.]; I just hopefully can be the Prince of Pop.
Okay, Chris … I can give you the Prince of Pop, sounds fair enough, right? He he. We’ll see once that PDD single surfaces, although I’m sure you have nothing to worry about. You can’t go wrong with ‘Da Don! [MTV via CBWeb]

PHOTOS: GETTY IMAGES » Rapper Nelly (pictured above) chatting with Derek Fisher of the L.A. Lakers and sitting courtside enjoying the Lakers game Sunday night (Mar. 23rd) in L.A. According to Rap-Up.com Nelly’s working hard on his new album, Brass Knuckles, due in stores June 24th! He recently shot a video for the single featuring Fergie, Party People, and according to Rap-Up, the album features collaborations from T.I., LL Cool J, Chuck D, Akon, and Ciara, who is featured on the Jermaine Dupri-produced Stepped On My Js. The track is a tribute to Nike Air Jordans, which Nelly describes as “Grillz and Air Force Ones on steroids.” Being an avid fan of waking up early on Saturday mornings to cop the newest pair of Jordans myself, I can’t wait to hear this track!

JASON RAE, HUSBAND OF CORRINE BAILEY RAE, FOUND DEAD » I know we’re like 2 days late on reporting this, but the husband of Grammy-nominated British soul singer Corrine Bailey Rae was found dead in an apartment in the northern English city of Leeds on Saturday. Officers are awaiting results of toxicology tests to determine the cause of death. In connection with the case, a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs, and has since been released on bail, according to officials.
29-year-old Corrine Bailey Rae and her husband met when the singer worked in as a coat room attendant at a jazz club in Leeds. They married in 2001. 31-year-old Jason Rae was a saxophonist with a funk band, the Haggis Horns. Along with having performed with his wife, Rae’s band had also previously worked with other British acts including Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson.
EMI Records, Corrine’s record label released a statement after learning of Rae’s loss.
“EMI Records would like to offer its sincere condolences to Corinne Bailey Rae and the Rae family at this tragic time. We ask that the media respects Corinne’s privacy and that of her entire family.”
Hip-hop king Jay-Z and R&B queen Mary J. Blige showed up and showed out (from what I hear) in Miami’s American Airlines Arena Saturday night! The two were there, along with Kanye West, Timbaland, and The Dream, to kick off their Heart of the City tour. Rappers Young Jeezy and Fabolous showed their support from the audience, and were photographed backstage. It looked like a pretty damn good show! Wish I could have been there.
As you may know, new Bad Boy artist Donnie Klang debuted his brand new single Take You There featuring, as well as produced by, Diddy on Making The Band 4 Finale Season 2 and iTuines as well. I have to admit I wasn’t feeling the song at all that much. But I took into consideration that I got these cheap-ass headphones (cos my iPhones pop, I swear I can’t keep them for 2 months) that I can barely hear anything out of them! So I had to really give Donnie a chance second time around and I liked it a lot! Remind me of some Justin Timberlake/Prince/Usher/ Michael Jackson-type song … lol.
Here is yet another banned episode from The Boondocks: The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show.
I think I like The Hunger Strike better. I’m a little appalled at The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show, it was a tad bit over-the-top and not that funny to me. Nigga is starting to get redundant as well.
All in all, it was a “decent” episode. I got caught off guard a couple of times; about the mocking of black fraternities, how blacks are being ostentatious if they have rims on their cars, how Uncle Ruckus almost commited suicide after finding out he was black … I don’t want to go into detail - it’s ridiculous.

Diddy (pictured above) with his twin girls D’Lilah and Jessie James. He brought the two along to the Making the Band 4 (Season 2) finale, filmed live at the MTV Studios in New York. A big thank you goes out to Jeff Lopez, Star Wild Media Group, and MTV for allowing us to take over their control room for 2 hours and live blog straight from their studio!
Check out photos from the show, which aired last night on MTV, below and after the cut. Is D. Wood’s haircut starting to grow on anyone else but me? Maybe it’s cause she’s just so damn fine I have no choice but to accept it.
SIDENOTE: I gotta have one of those “No Bitchassness” tees! They’ve already hit The Bay! Oh, and for those of you sellers listing the shirt … Bitchassness is one word. To find it through the search, I had to type it in as “bitch ass ness.” The only reason it’s spelled that way on the shirt is because bitchassness is a long ass word. Thank you =)
I feel horrible. I’m usually the type of person that gives people the benefit of the doubt 99% of the time, and unfortunately, I gave Juvenile the benefit of the doubt when I learned that he had not attended the funeral of his slain daughter. But after reading this letter Illseed posted at All Hip Hop my stomach turned in knots. The man never claimed his daughter, never had intentions of claiming her, and didn’t even have the decency or respect to attend her funeral. And to add insult to injury, the bastard performed in Augusta, GA just a few short hours after her funeral service. To know that her incarcerated uncle (the guy who sent the letter out) was somehow able to attend the services even makes the situation worse. Speaking of adding insult to injury and making the situation worse, how about NO ONE FROM JUVENILE’S FAMILY ATTENDED THE FUNERAL! Not his mother, none of his sisters/brothers, cousins … no one. They didn’t even send a flower or card and they didn’t even give them a call. It’s like she never existed to them. That’s fucking sad.
People need to realize that children don’t have anything to do with how or when they are brought into this world. They don’t choose their parents. Their parents choose to have them. It doesn’t matter whether or not the mother was a jump-off and you didn’t have any intentions on having a baby with her. That’s your damn child, no matter how much you deny them. That will NEVER change. I don’t plan on having any children until I’m married, or until I’m with the woman I want to marry, but if by some chance I do end up getting a girl pregnant before that happens, you best believe I am going to claim my child and be in their life.
Anyway, let me get off of my soap box. If you’re interested in reading the letter, check it out after the cut… CONTINUE READING
