Ray J and his entourage were thrown out the Hyatt in Washington, D.C. after hotel security found drugs in the singer’s room. According to reports, Ray J and a group of friends returned to hotel room after a party Saturday night, and after being bothered with noise, other hotel guests called security. When they arrived, they reportedly found marijuana and a club drug called “Boat.”
Police arrived on the scene, but there were no arrests made. The word on the rumor mill is that Ray J tried to bribe security, but they didn’t give in, and this caused the singer to make a scene by yelling and arguing. But his publicist denied all of that with a statement:
“The altercation did not directly affect Ray J – it was people in his entourage. But he did the gentlemanly thing and left the hotel anyway.”
It was also reported that he booked a hotel room down the street down at the Holiday Inn. Hey, they had to keep the party going! Right?
Usher apparently doesn’t approve of the way “we” talk about his wife, Tameka. The singer dropped by MTV’s TRL to promote the release of his 5th studio album, Here I Stand, and to premiere his new video for Moving Mountains. After Damien (the MTV VJ) talked to Ush about a few of the tracks on the album, Usher sort of took over the interview and let us know what he thinks about the way us bloggers, his fans, the public, and the media dog out his wife.
Well, whad’ya know! “URSHER” has grown up! He gets major cool points back in my book. I’m so proud of the guy. After all of that, I just might call it quits when it comes to my jokes on Tameka =) Click here to check out the video.
New music from Ciara has hit the web and I’m diggin’ this new track that’s out. I can imagine the video for this if Ciara was to deem this new track, “Click”, as her 1st single from her upcoming album Fantasy Ride (Jive/Zomba). This track is a hot track but I don’t think this will be the first single. Check out the following link below. Tell me what ya’ll think of the track.
I must say it’s coming to an end with the San Antonio Spurs. The Los Angeles Lakers won the away game last night by two (93-91). The Lakers go home in Game 5. L.A. haven’t lost a home game in the series yet so it’s not looking too good for the Spurs. The Lakers are leading the series (3-1). Kobe Bryant totaled 28 points and 10 rebounds. Pau Gasol scored 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Lamar Odom put up 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Kobe stated at the end of the Game 4’s win:
“It is a big step for us,” Kobe said, “Tonight we came out and did a much, much better job to win in this building in this particular game. It’s big for us.”
(PHOTOS: WIRE IMAGE)Mariah Carey-Cannon (yes, I’m gonna be calling her that from now on) and Nick Cannon touched down in Tokyo this morning at the Narita International Airport doing what they do best. Showing off their wedding rings. They’re doing waaaay too much. Especially Mariah. How much longer is this gonna go on? When are the paparazzi gonna get tired of this, and change their names in their phones to “Do Not Answer,” so that when either of them call, they get the cold shoulder? No one knows at this point. All I know is that this “marriage” is faker than snow in the Arizona deserts… More flicks after the cut.
It’s this new group from Chicago named Hot Stylz. I thought Chicago was the only people that knew about this group! The name of Hot Stylz’s new single is called “Lookin’ Boy” featuring Yung Joc. It’s kinda hard to explain but in Chi-town when you just talking about somebody for about a good 10-15 minutes we call it a “roasting session” and we also called it “heating”. It’s fun and it mad funny! You just say a lot of stuff that most of the time don’t even make sense. Check out the video to get a concept.
The San Antonio Spurs finally win one at home against the Los Angeles Lakers! Hooray for them! Good Job! Nah, but the Spurs went hard and yeah I’m hating cause I wanted my boy Kobe to dominate last night. The Lakers still lead the series though (2-1). The Spurs won by a 19 points (103-84). Manu Ginobili scored 30 points and 2 rebounds. Tim Duncan put 22 points and 21 rebounds. Tony Parker scored 20 points and 5 assists.
I saw this video yesterday and I found the full vid on YouTube. Kobe is with the cast from MTV’s Jackass who does nothing but crazy stuff. Kobe Bryant is RAW!!! Ya’ll have to check out this video!
Was there any doubt the Lakers wouldn’t win?! The Los Angeles Lakers continues to show and prove they deserve to win the championship this year. The San Antonio Spurs got blew out by 30 (101-71)! The Lakers are currently and steadily leading the series (2-0). My boy, Kobe Byrant, scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Lamar Odom came out and scored 20 points and 12 rebounds. Pau Gasol put up 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Although, Kobe is basically unstoppable he still knows that he cannot underestimate his opponents:
“You have to take care of business,” Kobe said. “Get to practice [Saturday] and work on things that we want to adjust or get better at and get ready to rock ‘n roll on Sunday.”
I just got this in my inbox like 2 minutes ago. After watching it and getting bored within the first minute, I’m glad Kanye went with the first version! This second version is garbage…
Common is releasing a new album this year and the name of the album is to be called, Invincible Summer (G.O.O.D./Geffen), which is due sometime in July. The new track “Universal Mind Control” featuring and produced by Pharrell Williams. The beat is crazy! It feels like something you would expect from Kanye. It’s different for Common but I like it! The track sounds like it’s sampled from Afrika Bambaataa’s “Looking For The Perfect Beat”.
New music from Ashanti has hit the web from her latest and upcoming album, The Declaration (The Inc./Universal). The title of the track is called “In The Streets”. I’m actually liking the tracks that we’re hearing from Ashanti recently. Although, she has been off the music scene for awhile and I guess the name of her album suit it well. The Declaration due in stores June 3rd! Check out the following links.
Usher appeared on Ellen today and talked about his new upcoming, Here I Stand (LaFace), which is due in stores May 27th. Check out Mike’s review of the album. Usher IV also talked about his baby boy Usher V and which magazine he’ll be covering as the first public photos! Check out the video to find out which magazine!
Our friends over at Rap-Up.com did a video interview with Yung Berg and he got to talking about his upcoming album, Look What You Made Me (Epic), which is due in stores August 12th. He also talked ghost writing for other artists and how he claims he’s the “prince” of the game supposedly coming at Bow Wow. He also mentioned who wrote Bow Wow’s hits like “Shortie Like Mine” and “Bounce Wit Me”. Is this new beef? Check out the interview above.
The Detroit Pistons win Game 2 in Boston last night against the Celtics. The Boston Celtics let the Pistons beat them at home and it’s going to be a hard few games on the road since the Celtics don’t do too well on road games. Home games is their ticket to the finals and they lost the first home game. The series are now tied (1-1). The Pistons won by 6 in Game 2 (103-97). Richard Hamilton scored 25 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Rasheed Wallace totaled 13 points and 10 rebounds. Chauncey Billups put up 19 points and 7 assists. Hamilton responded at the end of Game 2 about how excited he is about the win and returning to their home court in Game 3:
“The atmosphere’s going to be crazy,” Hamilton said. “We’re geeked about getting back to our home court. The fans are excited, and now it’s our job to take care of home court.
