ENGLAND // SATURDAY, JUNE 28TH 2008 »Jay-Z and Amy Winehouse were the headliners for Day 2 of the 2008 Glastonbury Festival, an annual concert festival held every summer (except every 5th year) in England. There was a lot of controversy behind Jay-Z being a headlining act, since he’s a rapper, but apparently all of that got settled and I hear Jay-Z killed at the show!
American rapper Jay-Z answered his critics, notably Oasis’s Noel Gallagher, with a performance at Britain’s famous Glastonbury music festival that was received to rapturous cheers Saturday.
Striding on stage with a guitar slung over his shoulder, he led the crowd in a rendition of Oasis’s “Wonderwall”, smiling throughout, and with wife Beyonce Knowles in attendance, his set included songs such as “99 Problems”. [ READ MORE » ]
Here is a new leaked track from Beyoncé titled “Honesty.” This could be a possible track from Beyoncé’s upcoming untitled album which is supposed to be in stores November of this year. Check out the link below and tell me what you guys think of the track!
*UPDATE: I just found out that this is actually a cover song of Billy Joel’s 1978 original version of “Honesty” from the album “52nd Street”.

Beyoncé was spotted on the set of a new thriller film titled Obsessed with co-star Idris Elba shooting a scene for the film due out mid 2009. In this new film Beyoncé plays Beth Charles, the wife of Derek Charles (Idris Elba), whose husband is threatened by an “obsessed” temp in his office. This movie should be good! Beyoncé has three leaked tracks that just hit the web and it’s new material. Beyoncé released a statement earlier this year about her not releasing new music but this is proof that some type of recording is taking place. All of these tracks is great. I swear, it’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen Beyonce & Jay photographed together. Anyhow, celebrities like Joy Bryant, Irv Gotti, Fabolous, and more showed up for the party.
The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art held it’s annual gala last night to celebrate the opening of the new show “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” which runs from May 7 to September 1, 2008. Singers Janet Jackson, Beyonce and Mary J. Blige walked the red carpet alongside actresses like Thadie Newton and Paula Patton and all looked fabulous even though most of the dresses worn at the event last night were surprisingly low-key and safe considering the theme. According to MTV.com, Beyoncé crashed Jay-Z solo set @ the Madison Square Garden. I couldn’t help but just laugh when I heard this. Here’s the excerpt from MTV News:
During Jay-Z’s solo set, he has a part where he shows off. Jay literally sits in the DJ booth and pushes buttons to cue up instrumentals of classics like “Money Ain’t a Thang,” “Who You Wit” and “Hard Knock Life.” “F— that,” Jay yelled every time he played a song, cutting it off within seconds of bringing it up. Humorously, he started ” ‘03 Bonnie & Clyde” and just like before, he stopped it after a second. “F— that,” he said with a grin. Then Hov pulled up Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” and, you guessed it, said, “F— that too. … No disrespect.”
But almost immediately, Beyoncé came onstage, walking with a sassy “how dare you” strut. Jay started “Crazy in Love” again, and B did her crowd-pleasing “uh oh” dance. She walked over to Jay, did a spin, smiled and went backstage. Jay doubled over laughing.

Usher’s album record sales are looking better and better everyday. He has a remix to his hit single, “Love In This Club” featuring Beyoncé and Lil’ Wayne. He’s calling it “Part II”, I wonder if there is more of these “parts” to this single. Then again, J.D. did mention possible featured tracks from Beyoncé and many others. Beyonce and Jay-Ztied the knot almost a month ago, but the couple just filed their marriage license this past Friday (Apr. 11th) in Scarsdale, NY, reports People. Scarsdale Town Clerk Donna Conkling confirmed the couple’s April 4th wedding date and said that even though they filed the license more than 5 days after the wedding, they won’t be facing any penalty. NY law states that you must file your wedding license within 5 days after your wedding, but Conkling said that the penalty is frequently waived, and not just for celebrities.
Neither of the two have confirmed their marriage, but we all know what’s up. I’m just waiting on those wedding pictures to show up! Those mofos must be under lock and key in a safe deep down in the “wig crypt” [copyright Fresh @ C&D].
BEYONCE’S NEXT ALBUM MIGHT BE HER LAST » Word on the sidewalk, street, highway, bridge, and everything in between, is that Beyonce plans to hang it up after she releases this next album. Now, if you’ve been following Beyonce, you’ll know that over the past decade of her music career, she’s stated several times that she plans on retiring before she turns 30. But she’s also said that she’d be taking a few breaks in between that time, but we all know that didn’t happen.
But her cousin Angelica Knowles (not to be confused with her coustin/stylist Angela Beyince) has spilled the beans to the media. According to Angelica, Beyonce plans to spend her days scouting talent for Jay-Z’s upcoming label, The Carter Music Group. She’ll also see that as the perfect time to make some babies and cause 9 months of ruckus online. Y’all know how it is when it comes to Jayonce!
I just don’t see Beyonce retiring any time soon. Sure she’s had several albums with Destiny’s Child, but she’s only done 2 albums so far, and 1 is currently in the making. I don’t see her calling it quits with just 3 solo albums under her belt. Besides, she loves what she does way too much!

The Carters (Jay-Z & Beyonce) hit up the Houston Rockets Game in Houston Friday (Apr. 11th). As usual, the two have the blog world talking because they’re not rocking any kind of wedding bands.
