The Cleveland Cavaliers lose again! The Boston Celtics are now in the lead after winning the tie-breaker last night (3-2). The Celtics won by 7 points (96-89). Kevin Garnett put up 26 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. LeBron James totaled 35 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. LeBron commented on the loss after the game:

“We know it’s a win-or-go-home situation. We’ve got to approach it that way,” LeBron said “We’re a very good team at home. But a LeBron James team is never desperate.”

May.13.2008 // [VIDEO RECAP] Game 4: Boston Celtics Vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Boston Celtics in Game 4 last night. The series is now tied (2-2). The Cavs won by a good 11 points (88-77). The indeed had to win Game 4 in order to stand ground in this series. LeBron James, who had 21 points, 13 assists and 6 rebounds, said at the game’s end:

“We took care of home court and turned it into a three-game series,” James said.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 9 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Kevin Garnett finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics.

May.11.2008 // Game 3: Cleveland Cavaliers Vs. Boston Celtics

Cavs Win; Celtics Lead (2-1)

The Cleveland Cavaliers take the victory at home in last night’s game against the Boston Celtics. The Cavs won by 24 in Game 3 (108-84). LeBron James was determined to win for the home team last night. James had 21 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Delonte West was on point last night with 21 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds. West said at the end of the game:

“We came out, jumped on them and didn’t give it back,” West said.

The Celtics are still leading this series (2-1) but a lot can change in the next game. Game 4 will be in Cleveland which will make it harder for the Celtics to maintain their lead.

Game 4 airs Monday (May 12) on TNT.

May.09.2008 // Game 2: Boston Celtics Vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

Celtics Lead (2-0)

(Photos: Getty Images) The Boston Celtics win again against the Cleveland Cavaliers. That’s two in a row (2-0). Beating the Cavs by 16, the final score was (89-73). It’s kind of surprising LeBron James hasn’t been shutting it down but these games can go either way. Kevin Garnett was on his game tonight and did not let up. K.G. scored 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists. Paul Pierce was even shocked to see that King James wasn’t beating them! Here’s what Pierce had to say:

“I’m a little shocked that he’s 8-for-42, but this is what we work on. We work on trying to contain him,” said Pierce, “LeBron is what makes them go. And if we can somehow control him, we control their team. And with the help of the guys around me, we’ve been able to do that.”

Ray Allen scored 16 points and 3 assists. Paul Pierce scored a total of 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. I guess they are kind of succeeding in this theory cause it’s not looking to good for the Cavs. LeBron can even admit this himself. LeBron said after the game:

Celtics Lead (1-0)

I feel that the game was rigged because LeBron definitely didn’t get the foul calls he deserved during the 24.8 seconds in the final quarter. But all in all the Celtics still took the victory last night by only 5 points (76-72). Kevin Garrett scored 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Rajon Rondo totaled 15 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Paul Pierce had 4 points…4 rebounds, and 5 rebounds. K.G. had comments after this close game last night. He responded:

“This was two heavyweights, just body-punching,” Garnett said ”There was no finesse, no jabs, just an all-out, beat-down, defensive fight.”

Celtics Win Game 7

The Boston Celtics regained their mojo back with the final win of the series against the Atlanta Hawks (4-3). The win the seventh game by 34 points (99-65). It’s been a good seven games for the Hawks though winning every home game they played. Atlanta Hawks’ coach Mike Woodson said at the finish of Game 7:

“I wish we could have played all of our games in Atlanta,” said Woodson, “Nobody thought we had an opportunity to even win a game in this series. We battled them right to the end. We just didn’t have it today.”

Ray Allen had 19 points. Paul Pierce had 22 points and 6 assists. Boston Celtics’ coach Doc Rivers is proud of the win at home but is still second-guessing the Celtics in the upcoming game in ATL:

“We still haven’t won a road game, guys,” Rivers said. “We have to do it again. We have to do it on the road now. We have to go in there and play like tonight.”

ATL WINS!!!

It looks like the Atlanta Hawks stepped their game up literally. The series are now tied against the Boston Celtics (2-2). The won last night’s game by 5 (97-92). Josh Smith had 28 points, 7 blocks, and 6 rebounds. Joe Johnson scored a high 35 points in Game 4, scoring the last 20 in the fourth quarter. Johnson talks about the victory after the game:

“We took care of our home court,” Johnson said. “Now we’ve got to go up to Boston and somehow steal one.”

Apr.28.2008 // Game 3: Atlanta Hawks Vs. Boston Celtics

(Photos: Getty Images / NBA) Josh Smith was dunking happy Saturday night on the Boston Celtics. The Atlanta Hawks now gaining some lead way (1-2). The Hawks won by a 9-point lead (102-93). Top performer of the game, Josh Smith, had 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. Smith was proud about this successful game they needed. He states:

“My heart was racing, I was so excited,” said Smith, who certainly did his part by dunking five times on the Celtics. “I wanted to give the city of Atlanta something to cheer about.”

Kevin Garnett scored 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists for the Celtics. Paul Pierce added 17 points and 8 assists. The Celtics still lead these series but the Hawks are gaining. They’ll settle this score in Game 4.
