Rapper Busta Rhymes is getting it in with his new upcoming mixtape remixing two of the hottest singles our right now, in my opinion, ‘Ching-A-Ling’ by Missy Elliott and ‘Apologize’ by OneRepublic, him adding his own little twist. For a follow-up on this project check out The Regulator Blog!
AP is reporting that rapper Busta Rhymes was sentenced by a Manhattan judge to three years’ probation and 10 days of community service Wednesday for assaulting his former driver and a fan. The 35-year-old rapper was also fined $1,250, in addition to court costs, for driving with a suspended license AND under the influence. He pleaded guilty to the charges - related to four separate incidents - in Manhattan Criminal Court. Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith, must also enroll in a DWI program.
“I just want to say that I’m very grateful to the judge, and I’m very grateful to the system. I believe in the system,” Rhymes said as he left court.
CHRIS BROWN COVERS ELVIS PRESLEY “JAILHOUSE ROCK” »
So the 2007 Movies Rock! show went down last night (December 7th): a night of movies, fashion and music! Performances include Chris Brown, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Will.I.Am, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Eve! It looked fun, I’d say my favorite performance would have to be Fergie Ferg with “Live and Let Die” (Guns N’ Roses), she did an amazing job and did that song much justice. Ooh, I also love Usher’s performance of Gene Kelly’s “Singing in the Rain” - great show! Really they ALL did a fantastic job, I’m so proud of everyone! I’m mad I missed it y’all! Ha ha, expect more performances after the cut! CONTINUE READING

PHOTOS BY STEVEN HIRSCH FOR SPLASH NEWS » Here Jeff Atkins (Ja Rule) can be seen entering Manhattan Criminal Court for his court appearance this past Wednesday. But what’s funny is that he wasn’t the only rapper with a court date that morning! Remy Ma, Lil’ Wayne (Birdman was there to support), and Busta Rhymes all had an “appointment” with the same judge. If you were just passing through, you’d probably think it was the damn BET Hip-Hop Awards or something. Peep candids of Wayne, Remy, and Busta after the cut. CONTINUE READING

And last, but most certainly not least, flicks from inside the show! I, for one, cannot wait until October 17th when this bad boy airs on BET at 8 PM. I’m mad T.I. didn’t get to perform due to his “unfortunate incarceration,” but you can’t cry over spilled milk, right? Anyhow, judging by these photos, the show looked to be on point! MTV … break out the pen and pad, and jot down some notes. Check out the remaining photos after the cut! CONTINUE READING
T.I. delivers once again in his 3rd single from his latest album “T.I. vs T.I.P.” with “Hurt” featuring Alfamega and Busta Rhymes. He needs to release “Watch What You Say to Me (feat. Jay-Z)” next!! That’d make a hot video. In other T.I. news, I hear home boy is already in the studio working on ANOTHER album that will be released sometime next year. Respect his hustle!
T.I. feat. Alfa Mega + Busta Rhymes » “Hurt” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Hurt” is T.I.’s third single from his latest album, T.I. vs T.I.P., the Danja-produced track features rappers Alfa Mega and Busta Rhymes. This was always one of my favorite tracks from the album, great production, great single choice! T.I. recently shot the video, we should have that pretty soon for y’all, so stay clicked!
Nicole Scherzinger feat. will.I.am » “Baby Love” » LISTEN » (Full) » Here is the HQ version of singer Nicole’s second single, featuring as well as produced by will.I.am, entitled “Baby Love”. It’s a nice stringy guitar ballad, I think this shows Nicole’s vocal range more than the previous singles she had, this was one of the few tracks I loved from her album. will.I.am was a nice addition as well, speaking of him, I did a crazy review on his latest (Songs About Girls), check it out HERE!
The-Dream » “Falsetto” » LISTEN » (Full) » This is a new track from writer The-Dream entitled “Falsetto,” wow I’m actually diggin this joint, it takes me back to those R. Kelly days (NO I’m not too young to know about R. Kelly)! Look out for the exclusive interview Dustin did with The-Dream in the upcoming week! Shouts go out to A HOT MESS, my other favorite blog, for the track! =p
Omarion feat. Bow Wow » “Hood Star” » LISTEN » (Full) » “Hood Star” is believed to be the first single lifted from the Face Off album with Omarion and Bow Wow. Hmm, this is pretty good, maybe a little better than “Designated Driver”. I can honestly say I have nothing bad to say about Bow Wow, I know, I’m surprised too! =-o
