A surprise party for Missy Elliott was thrown last night at Marquee in New York. The rapper turned 37. Guestlist included: Pepa (of Salt N Pepa), Julissa, Cassie, Busta Rhymes and more. All of the important celebrities must have been busy last night! More flicks from the shindig after the break.
The 2008 BET Awards aired last night and yours truly is here to inform you of the hottest (and not so hot) styles worn at the award show. Some of the best dressed female celebs of the night were Rihanna, Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys. Rihanna wore a neon yellow Giambattista Valli dress from his spring/summer 2008 line, Gabrielle Union wore a gorgeous white Celine Vonn dress, Jennifer Hudson wore A brown Peter Soronen corset dress, and Alicia Keys wore a strapless pink David Meister David Meister dress with Melody Ehsani Hate/Love Rings. Don’t ya’ll remember when Cassie first stepped on the scene with this hot track, “Me & U”, which everybody fell in love with. There have always been rumors questioning whether or not Diddy has had romantic or sexual encounters with singer Cassie. Well, it looks like the rumors will start again with photos recently released by G Syle Magazine showing the two getting mighty cozy in New York on Mother’s Day as they watched a display by street dancers.

Cassie just posted a new video on her MySpace blog shouting out to her fans. Letting them know she’s on location at her video shoot for her latest single, “Official Girl”. This video has to be at least a week old since we have pics of her on set of Official Girl. Check out the video above and following links.
R&B singer and producer Ryan Leslie has posted a new track on his MySpace page. The track is titled Addiction. Cassie is on the record with the chorus vocals. I wouldn’t be surprised if this were to become the second single. Ryan Leslie’s self-titled album, Ryan Leslie (Next Selection), is due in stores June 17th.

Cassie recently shot the video for Official Girl, the first single from her currently untitled sophomore release, and was spotted in Manhattan taking a break on the set, where the video was filmed.
Haven’t done this in awhile, y’all! Here is yet another Who Owns the Track? post featuring young starlets Karina Pasian and Cassie. Official Girl is the official first single from Cassie forthcoming project, the song was written by The Clutch and produced by Danja. Obviously Karina passed up the track but Dustin thought it would be dope if I posted both versions. I have to say that, I love Cassie, but Karina definitely owns it! I think the song fits her more as far as vocals, attitude, etc. But it really isn’t up to me quite yet … so I need to know Who Owns the Track?

Cassie is working hard on her second album… Stop laughing! Lol, let me finish. Cassie is working hard on her second album, which currently holds no title, but according to a sit-down with Billboard, Diddy says the album is set for a September 2008 release.
