A premiere party for MTV’s Making the Band 4 (Season 3) went down last night in New York City. Let me start this off by saying that I apologize for predominately including photos of Boom Kat in the first part of the post. But her pictures were way past hilarious! Homegirl looked like she was too excited to be out of the house for a change. Jumping in folks’ pics, grabbing ‘em, standing up on couches and posing for pics, everything! If nobody enjoyed this little premiere party, I know for sure one person did. Laurie Ann momof*ckin Gibson. Lol! Oh, and I see Teyana Taylor done went and got a perm! But it’s gonna take more than that for homeboy to start looking like homegirl! I’m just saying. And where the hell was the rest of Danity Kane? I know Aubrey was probably out being a publicity whore, but what about the rest of the chicks? More pics when you continue reading.
I posted a few candids of Dawn & Que last week and posed a question. With Beyonce and Jay-Z we have “Jayonce.” With Chris Brown and Rihanna we have “Chrianna.” Now, with Dawn & Que making their rounds as a couple, what the hell should we call them? Well, a couple of our loyal readers came up with some great suggestions that the rest of us can vote on! I’ll leave this poll up for about a week, and the nickname with the most votes is what we over here at T2W will call them. Let’s see how far this catches on, and once it does, you’ll know where it started ;-)
TORONTO, CANADA // SATURDAY, AUGUST 2ND 2008 » Mica, a loyal T2W reader, sent me these photos of Dawn & Q all booed up a couple of weekends ago in Toronto, Canada at Caribana, an annual summer carnival. We gotta come up with a nickname for these two, lol! Continue reading for more pics!
Dawn Richards & Friends celebrated her 25th birthday at Club Cain in the NYC the other night. The girls of Danity Kane were not present but there was some Bad Boy love at her party. Dawn’s boyfriend, Qwanell, was there of course. Willie Taylor (Day26), Cheri Dennis, Will.I.Am, Laurie-Ann Gibson and many more were all there celebrating with Dawn her big 25th. Check out more photos after the click!
*Rubs eyes* Day 26? Is that you?! I thought I’d never see or hear from you again! Lol, all jokes aside, above you can watch the T2W premiere of Day 26’s new video for “Since You’ve Been Gone.” I swear it’s been years since these guys have released a new video, and I just can’t seem to figure out why. Their debut album is dope! I just can’t stop hitting replay. Diddy, what the hell are you doing? Don’t let this shit happen again. “Co-Star” better have its own video by the fall or I’m going to tell the whole world about your Bitchassness! I’m just waiting for the right moment to hit that “Publish” button in WordPress…
(Photos: Wire Image)Carol’s Daughter hosted a birthday party for teen R&B singer Chris Brown, who recently turned 19 years old. Of course his “BFF” Rihanna was there, in addition to Willie & Q (of Day 26), Teyana Taylor, Dawn Richard (of Danity Kane) and Lil’ Mama. That’s it? I guess so! Lol, peep more flicks after the cut… CONTINUE READING
HERE I STAND DUE IN MAY INSTEAD OF JUNE » In an industry where setbacks are about as natural as Naomi Campbell losing her mind, it’s rare that you find that an album has been pushed up a few weeks. Originally slated for a June 2008 release, Usher’s Here I Stand album has been pushed up to May 27th, reports Billboard.
The video for the album’s first single, In This Club, has already been shot and is set to premiere on Monday, April 7th. A 30-second clip of the video has been making its rounds across the web over the past week. The actual single, produced by hitmaker Polow Da Don, is currently sitting pretty at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, which is another rarity, seeing as there has been no hardcore promotion and no accompanying video. He can have every radio station in these here United States to thank for that, seeing as it appears as though that’s the only song they have on constant rotation. CONTINUE READING
Y’all know it’s that time of the year again. Spring Bling 2008, BET’s annual spring break celebration, was filmed this year in Riviera Beach, Florida. You already know this shit is gonna be on repeat for the next couple of months. So until that happens, maybe these flicks will hold you over!
The Making the Band 4 (Season 2) Finale aired Sunday on MTV, and if you missed the live performances like me, you have our good friends over at Yardie’s Yard to thank! Check out the performances from Day 26 and Donnie Klang (f/ Diddy) after the break! CONTINUE READING
PHOTOS: GETTY IMAGES » Rapper Nelly (pictured above) chatting with Derek Fisher of the L.A. Lakers and sitting courtside enjoying the Lakers game Sunday night (Mar. 23rd) in L.A. According to Rap-Up.com Nelly’s working hard on his new album, Brass Knuckles, due in stores June 24th! He recently shot a video for the single featuring Fergie, Party People, and according to Rap-Up, the album features collaborations from T.I., LL Cool J, Chuck D, Akon, and Ciara, who is featured on the Jermaine Dupri-produced Stepped On My Js. The track is a tribute to Nike Air Jordans, which Nelly describes as “Grillz and Air Force Ones on steroids.†Being an avid fan of waking up early on Saturday mornings to cop the newest pair of Jordans myself, I can’t wait to hear this track!

Diddy (pictured above) with his twin girls D’Lilah and Jessie James. He brought the two along to the Making the Band 4 (Season 2) finale, filmed live at the MTV Studios in New York. A big thank you goes out to Jeff Lopez, Star Wild Media Group, and MTV for allowing us to take over their control room for 2 hours and live blog straight from their studio!
Check out photos from the show, which aired last night on MTV, below and after the cut. Is D. Wood’s haircut starting to grow on anyone else but me? Maybe it’s cause she’s just so damn fine I have no choice but to accept it.
SIDENOTE: I gotta have one of those “No Bitchassness” tees! They’ve already hit The Bay! Oh, and for those of you sellers listing the shirt … Bitchassness is one word. To find it through the search, I had to type it in as “bitch ass ness.” The only reason it’s spelled that way on the shirt is because bitchassness is a long ass word. Thank you =)
