The 2008 BET Awards aired last night and yours truly is here to inform you of the hottest (and not so hot) styles worn at the award show. Some of the best dressed female celebs of the night were Rihanna, Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys. Rihanna wore a neon yellow Giambattista Valli dress from his spring/summer 2008 line, Gabrielle Union wore a gorgeous white Celine Vonn dress, Jennifer Hudson wore A brown Peter Soronen corset dress, and Alicia Keys wore a strapless pink David Meister David Meister dress with Melody Ehsani Hate/Love Rings. Singer/dancer Chris Brown and actor/comedian Mike Myers opened up the 2008 MTV Movie Awards with a “dance-off” styled competition and got tons of laughs from the audience. British supermodel Naomi Campbell was spotted on the set of popular television series “Ugly Betty” in Beverly Hills Thursday (May 1st). When asked about her experienced on the set, this is what she had to say:
“I was given a crash course in playing softball and at one point hit the ball so hard it actually broke in half! I had a fantastic day on set; the cast and crew were lovely. The coach said he had never seen anyone pick up the game so quickly.”
Broke the ball in half? Cast and crew were lovely? Not surprising. First of all, I’m sure she’s very fond of “hitting things” with baseball/softball bats, with that temper of hers and all. So I’m sure breaking that softball in half was nothing. And, if I were part of either the cast or crew, I’d be “lovely” too. There’s nothing worse than a pissed off Naomi Campbell … especially a Naomi Campbell with a baseball bat in her hands!

So the 2007 Movies Rock! show went down last night (December 7th): a night of movies, fashion and music! Performances include Chris Brown, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Will.I.Am, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J and Eve! It looked fun, I’d say my favorite performance would have to be Fergie Ferg with “Live and Let Die” (Guns N’ Roses), she did an amazing job and did that song much justice. Ooh, I also love Usher’s performance of Gene Kelly’s “Singing in the Rain” - great show! Really they ALL did a fantastic job, I’m so proud of everyone! I’m mad I missed it y’all!
