The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art held it’s annual gala last night to celebrate the opening of the new show “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy†which runs from May 7 to September 1, 2008. Singers Janet Jackson, Beyonce and Mary J. Blige walked the red carpet alongside actresses like Thadie Newton and Paula Patton and all looked fabulous even though most of the dresses worn at the event last night were surprisingly low-key and safe considering the theme. NAOMI CAMPBELL RELEASED FROM BRAZILIAN HOSPITAL » Supermodel Naomi Campbell is officially out of the hospital, as of Friday (Feb. 29th), five days after she was rushed in for emergency surgery, the hospital said.
“She recovered very well from her surgery,” the Sirio Libanes hospital in Sao Paulo said in a statment. “Doctors signed her release, and she left in the afternoon in a helicopter that someone sent to pick her up.”
It was recommended by Dr. Jose Aristodemo Pinotti, the Brazilian surgeon who attended to Campbell, that the British supermodel stay in the Brazilian hospital and get some rest before returning to work. Reports from last Monday stated that she went in to get a cyst removed, but Dr. Pinotti said that Naomi did NOT have a cyst removed, but would not specify what exactly she was treated for. “When a patient asks for discretion, be it Naomi or just plain Maria, I respect their wishes,” he told the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper on Friday. People Magazine caught up with Diddy, or Sean John, or whatever he wants to be called these days on the red carpet at the Oscars last week, and asked him what he thought about the recent birth of twins to his ex-girlfriend Jennier Lopez.
“I’m going to send her some Sean John baby clothes,” Diddy told People magazine on the Oscar red carpet Sunday. “I’m so happy for her. It’s such a blessing. [She] is going to make a great mother.”
Diddy, also the father of twins, added: “It’s double the love, and it’s also double the crying and the screaming, so it’s a unique blessed situation. It’s a rarity to have twins. She’ll be all right.”
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are the proud new parents of twins, a boy and a girl, Lopez’s manager told PEOPLE exclusively Friday morning. The babies were born early Friday morning in Long Island, N.Y. The girl was born at 12:12 A.M. and weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz., while the boy followed at 12:23 A.M., weighing 6 lbs even.
“Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon,” Lopez’s manager Simon Fields said.
They’re the first children for J.Lo and the fourth and fifth for Marc. Since People were the first to break the story, it’s obvious that they will most likely get the first baby photos, once they are released. Congratulations to the couple!

Gee, thanks? Jennifer Lopez announced her pregnancy last night in Miami during the last show of her and her husband’s El Cantante Tour. Following her set, J.Lo surprised the audience with the news, telling them, “We always wanted to wait until the last show as to not burden our audience with the thought of anything else except the show … but Marc and I are expecting.”
Husband Marc Anthony interrupted, telling the crowd, “I did not expect her to say anything.” Lopez continued, “I felt that now that we’re ready and we’re going to go away and have a little bit of time alone it was the right time,” before turning to Anthony and adding, “I hope you don’t mind.”
I guess we wouldn’t have known had she not told us, Lol. I mean really, it’s not like the big dresses gave anything away, right? =)

Jennifer Lopez drops her fifth English album, Brave, next week. The album features the singles “Do It Well,” including the remix with Ludacris, and “Hold It, Don’t Drop It”.
I was highly disappointed. Believe me, I’m a big fan of Jennifer Lopez, but this was little to no effort.
Overused samples, shot vocals, poor editing … I think, with Lopez, everything fell short into blandness.
BOTTOM LINE: Over all, I wasn’t impressed at all. Brave was very lackluster and not enough BOOM KAT! Jennifer Lopez’s new album Brave hits stores October 9th, buy at your own will.
