The 2008 BET Awards aired last night and yours truly is here to inform you of the hottest (and not so hot) styles worn at the award show. Some of the best dressed female celebs of the night were Rihanna, Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys. Rihanna wore a neon yellow Giambattista Valli dress from his spring/summer 2008 line, Gabrielle Union wore a gorgeous white Celine Vonn dress, Jennifer Hudson wore A brown Peter Soronen corset dress, and Alicia Keys wore a strapless pink David Meister David Meister dress with Melody Ehsani Hate/Love Rings. The 2008 BET Awards go down tonight live from Hollywood, and in true BET fashion, you know some parties and events have to precede the ceremony. Automobile giant Dodge and beer producer Coors Light sponsored a pool tournament at Hollywood Billiards this past Saturday in Los Angeles, and a slew of celebrities showed up: Angie Stone, Hill Harper, Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics MVP), my baby Lauren London, and Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade, just to name a few. Sean John Women’s Spokesmodel and Actress Lauren London covered the most recent issue of Jewel Magazine. In the interview, Lauren addressed rumors that seem to always surround her:
“I’ve learned not to make the rumors my reality. It seems like the media builds you up to bring you down. I’m not surprised. It’s the way of the world. It’s how we’re influencing our children and what we’re putting in everyone’s ears. You’ve got two-year-olds walking around with cell phones. The world is way too fast now.”
It’s been reported exclusively by Bossip that Lil Wayne and Lauren London are currently engaged. The snitch told the popular gossip site: “they have been on and off for years and have had an open relationship. Lauren is very hood and likes thugs.” In the past, she’s been linked to T.I., Baron Davis, and Pharrell Williams. This is pretty new for me! I didn’t know Weezy was hittin’ that!!
