Here’s the video premiere of Ludacris‘ latest music video featuring Chris Brown & Sean Garrett for the single, “What Them Girls Like.” Be on the look-out for the Atlanta rapper’s 6th studio album when it hits stores this November! The working title for the album is “Theater of the Mind.”
The 2008 Video Music Awards aired Sunday night and yours truly is here to bring you the 411 on all of the hottest (and not so hot) styles worn at the show! There were many hot styles worn to the show, but first and foremost, I gotta show some love to the men, because if you take out the select few that I will talk about later on in the post, just about every guy was dressed to impress! Some of the best dressed male celebs of the night were Ludacris, Ne-Yo, LL Cool J, T.I, John Legend, and Chris Brown. Ludacris looked like Mr. Urban High Fashion wearing Gucci from head to toe (tie included), Ne-Yo also looked good rocking Gucci from head to toe, LL Cool J lost the bedazzled tee’s and kept it simple yet classy in Gucci, John Legend really gave an edge to the classic white button up, black tie, and pants look by adding a fly white leather jacket, and Chris Brown decided not to wear his favorite red carpet designer and opted for a Louis Vuitton Jacket, Cassett Jeans, and Dior kicks. Keep reading for more styles from the show. CONTINUE READING
LOS ANGELES // SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH 2008 ยป The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards went down in LA last night at the Paramount Pictures Studios, and GOT is here to bring you guys the photos from the red carpet. From T-Pain arriving on a damn elephant, to Fat Man Scoop and his wife, Shonda, hitting up the RC with their pajamas, and even on down to Danity Kane looking like they were forced to take pictures together, there’s a lot to take in. So if you’re ready, hit the link below!
New music from T.I.’s forthcoming project! “Wish You Would” is pretty self-explanatory. I don’t know if it’ll be a single or not, but if so, this would be T.I. and Luda’s first collaboration on a single.
Apparently this is new music from Ludacris‘ forthcoming album, Theater of the Mind (Def Jam). The song “What Them Girls Like“, which is Dark Child-produced, features Chris Brown and Sean Garrett. I like this song, I could do without Sean Garrett, though. I guess he was doing Luda a favor since he was on his single. But I hate Sean’s part, it might grow on me, but not anytime soon.
Here you can hear Ciara’s new single, “High Price“, featuring fellow ATLien Ludacris. The track, which is Tricky Stewart-produced, would be from her new album Fantasy Ride (Jive/Zomba) in stores this Fall. This song is so Ciara! I don’t know why the hell everybody is saying it’s so different, this is Crunk & B mixed with Opera singing a la “Goodies“, this is why I fell in love with Ciara! She’s going back to her roots! Now watch this become a hit…
Usher performing “In This Club” as the opener for the 2008 BET Awards, which aired last night live from Los Angeles.
The 2008 BET Awards went down last night, and while there were a few lackluster performances (Usher’s being one of them), there were a few memorable, surprising, and exciting moments. One being Alicia Keys’ performance when she brought out SWV, En Vogue, and TLC! Another notable performance of the evening was Ne-Yo’s, where he showed us he can hang with the big dogs when it comes to his dance moves - he even brought out the Jabbawockees (winners of MTV’s America’s Dance Crew). Chris Brown did his thing as well, and surprised everyone when he brought out Ciara. Did Rihanna approve of this beforehand? I’m curious to know. And speaking of Rihanna, did anyone else notice how far she’s come along, as far as her live vocals? I was really impressed when she performed Take A Bow! And last, but most certainly not least, on my list of the best performances of the night, Lil’ Wayne! He kind of scared me towards the end of the show because it seemed like he wasn’t going to come out. The show was already running 15 or 20 minutes over when he was introduced. But he did come out, and he showed us exactly how and why he has sold nearly 1,500,000 copies of Tha Carter: III so far! He started out with Got Money (feat. T-Pain), paid homage to Static Major (R.I.P.) with Lollipop, and ended off his performance with A Millie. He had the whole crowd hyped, and ended off the show perfectly.
While the 2008 BET Awards did have its good moments, much of the show left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I expected a lot more from Usher. His performance was probably the most hyped up (pre-show), and ended up being one of the absolute worst of the night. While I love Keyshia Cole’s Heaven Sent, she really needs to work on her live vocals … and her stage presence. She had a lot of energy, she just didn’t know how to keep it all together. She looked like she was doing too much to me.
In my opinion, the 2007 BET Awards were much better. The performances, the overall show, and oh yeah … the host! Who the hell approved of D.L. Hughley being the host of this year’s show? I hope they received a pink slip in their box this morning. BRING MO’NIQUE BACK!!!

I just came across this hilarious commercial of Ludacris and Tommy Lee sponsoring a new television network called “Planet Green”. The first “green” channel about saving the planet. Check out the commercial above!
