T.I. - ‘Swing Your Rag (Louis Rag)‘ is said to be the second single from T.I.’s forthcoming album in stores Sept. 9, Paper Trail (Grand Hustle/Atlantic). The single cites production, as well as a guest feature, from Swizz Beatz.
Ne-Yo - ‘Crazy‘ is a track, produced by none other than J. Lack, set to be included on Year of the Gentleman (Def Jam), Aug. 9 - my birthday ironically!
LL Cool J - ‘Baby‘ is the first single from Exit 13 (Def Jam), Aug. 26; features The-Dream, production by Tricky Stewart.
Lloyd - ‘What Ya Feel‘, another J. Lack production, is a track from Lessons in Love (The Inc.), Aug. 5.

There’s a numerous amount of people that have done a freestyle to this “A Milli” beat, but A VIDEO of a R&B singer Ne-Yo doing a freestyle to this is crazy! Ne-Yo’s new album, The Year Of The Gentleman, is due in stores August 5th. Check out the video!
Usher performing “In This Club” as the opener for the 2008 BET Awards, which aired last night live from Los Angeles.
The 2008 BET Awards went down last night, and while there were a few lackluster performances (Usher’s being one of them), there were a few memorable, surprising, and exciting moments. One being Alicia Keys’ performance when she brought out SWV, En Vogue, and TLC! Another notable performance of the evening was Ne-Yo’s, where he showed us he can hang with the big dogs when it comes to his dance moves - he even brought out the Jabbawockees (winners of MTV’s America’s Dance Crew). Chris Brown did his thing as well, and surprised everyone when he brought out Ciara. Did Rihanna approve of this beforehand? I’m curious to know. And speaking of Rihanna, did anyone else notice how far she’s come along, as far as her live vocals? I was really impressed when she performed Take A Bow! And last, but most certainly not least, on my list of the best performances of the night, Lil’ Wayne! He kind of scared me towards the end of the show because it seemed like he wasn’t going to come out. The show was already running 15 or 20 minutes over when he was introduced. But he did come out, and he showed us exactly how and why he has sold nearly 1,500,000 copies of Tha Carter: III so far! He started out with Got Money (feat. T-Pain), paid homage to Static Major (R.I.P.) with Lollipop, and ended off his performance with A Millie. He had the whole crowd hyped, and ended off the show perfectly.
While the 2008 BET Awards did have its good moments, much of the show left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I expected a lot more from Usher. His performance was probably the most hyped up (pre-show), and ended up being one of the absolute worst of the night. While I love Keyshia Cole’s Heaven Sent, she really needs to work on her live vocals … and her stage presence. She had a lot of energy, she just didn’t know how to keep it all together. She looked like she was doing too much to me.
In my opinion, the 2007 BET Awards were much better. The performances, the overall show, and oh yeah … the host! Who the hell approved of D.L. Hughley being the host of this year’s show? I hope they received a pink slip in their box this morning. BRING MO’NIQUE BACK!!!

In case you missed the live coverage we did on the 2008 BET Awards last night, don’t worry. T2W is here to fill you in with the actual performances from the show! There were a lot of surprises in last night show and we have all of the performances thanks to HipHopMusicDotCom. Click play to view Usher’s performance of “Love In This Club” above!
There another remix to Plies‘ single, “Bust It Baby” and this time it features the one and only Janet Jackson. She definitely adds her own flavor to the track and I loved the song before, but now I love it even more! Be sure to not to forget Plies second album, Definition Of Real (Atlantic/Slip-N-Slide), in stores June 10th.
Ne-YoGo-Go (his stage name in the video) like many other stars, got his start by appearing on Showtime at the Apollo. Even though Ne-Yo’s group was basically booed throughout their entire performance, it was cool to see Ne-Yo doing something other than Micheal Jackson inspired dance moves. Former American Idol contestant Corey Clark (Snow) was also spotted.
Rumored couple Ne-Yo and Nicole Scherzinger failed miserably at trying to “sneak by” the paps as they left the Ivy after lunch yesterday (May 6th) in LA. They left so fast, Ne-Yo was still chewing on some food! Ne-Yo, what did ya eat? Was it good? Dang, swallow already! Lol
Two videos just premiered and now you can watch them here!!! Plies just released his video for his single, “Bust It Baby (Part II)” featuring Ne-Yo. The-Dream released his video for his third single, “I Luv Your Girl” featuring Young Jeezy. Tell me what ya’ll think in the comment area. Check out The-Dream’s video after the cut.
#1: Why did Allure hide Jill Scott behind a bush, but left Gabrielle Union out in the field?
#2: Does Jermaine Dupri use a booster seat when he drives?
#3: Why is Madonna’s new album shitting on “Discipline” and it hasn’t even been released yet?
#4: Why is “Don’t talk to me, you know better than that!” [Jay-Z] so damn funny?
#5: Why did Wesley Snipes get 3 years in prison, and those racist ass cops who murdered a black man for no apparent reason didn’t spend one day behind bars? All Wesley did was not pay the government. Those idiots filled an un-armed person with 50 bullets! Am I the only one who feels this way?

50 CENT REPSONDS TO ALICIA KEYS‘ COMMENTS ABOUT “GANGSTA RAP” »
“I don’t like Alicia Keys no more…the same reason why I said that I don’t like Oprah Winfrey. I’m prejudiced. I don’t like people who don’t like me. If you don’t like the content that I write because of my experiences; I am being who I am when writing it. I fall into that ‘label’ as far as you considering artists creating gangsta music.
I don’t think that [her] classical shit is cool. I don’t give a fuck if you can classically play the piano. I haven’t been classically trained, because my upbringing, nobody put me in front of a piano at that time…I could fucking care less about the shit. So she don’t like the music that embodies the harsh realities because they’re not her realities. She hasn’t been subjected to the same things.”
Rapper Plies and R&B singer Ne-Yo were both spotted in Miami on the set of their new video for Bust it Baby Pt. 2. Algernod’s new album, Definition of Real is set to drop on June 10th. Oh, you didn’t know? That’s Plies’ government name! Funny shit, huh? DJ Khaled and Rick Ross also made their way to the set of the video. CONTINUE READING
Singer/songwriter Ne-Yo just wrapped on recording for the video for his new single Closer, off of his 3rd studio album Year of the Gentleman, which is set to hit stores this June! Check out some exclusive photos of him on the set of the video, which looks to be rather interesting. Can’t wait to see the final edit!
FABOLOUS TO RELEASE CONCEPT ALBUM BASED ON FILM » Rapper Fabolous is working hard on his next LP, which he plans to release this August, MTV News is reporting. He plans on basing the album on an upcoming film, similar to what Jay-Z did with American Gangster.
“I usually go around and just get with producers I feel I wanted to work with. This time I’m going off a theme,” he said. “I’mma put a theme together and just go off of that theme,” he said. “Sometimes producers get lost trying to figure out what they think is the best type of sh– for Fab. [They say,] ‘I got this commercial joint for you.’ So what I’m doing now, I seen a movie I want to theme the album after. Even take certain lines, different scenes out of the movie and make music behind that. At the same time, I can have the producer check the movie out, and he’ll have something he can take away from the movie and come back with some joints. I wanted to try that this time.”
“What Jay-Z did [with 'American Gangster'] … he took that Frank Lucas character and put it in the frame of his Jay character,” Fab opined. “That’s what I wanna do. I don’t wanna say I that I’m actually the character, but take some of his scenarios or some things I went through and tell it in my tone.”
Fabolous didn’t disclose the name of the movie, but he says that a warm-up single is due for a May release. He also mentioned a few big names for the producers he plans on working with: Kanye West, Just Blaze, and Polow Da Don, just to name a few. I’m definitely interested in seeing what movie this album will be modeled after. Jay-Z did his thing on American Gangster! CONTINUE READING
